No worries, I didn't take it that way at all, or feel targeted. Perhaps I'm the one who should have been more clear.

It is hard to know what to make of this. And it is very difficult for the Packers as well. I am sure everyone wishes that the truth will set us free. Suppose they just suspend him now. I imagine the Packers had to consult the League and the Legal Departments, too. If he is convicted it is a done deal. If he is acquitted we are looking at not only back pay but some major lawsuits because PT is paramount to an NFL player since the life span is so short. A year or two out of the sport can essentially end someones career or greatly subtract from future performance.
It is safe to say that although Paul Hornung came back to play 3 more seasons with the Packers after his suspension, and they were not bad years, it is safe to say that he was not the same player he was before. The one year of age was not the difference but the absence of game repetition and conditioning certainly had a major impact.

Could the same be said about Lloyd? He was not suspended. He is still young. He has basically missed 2 full years of football. What do the Saints want for Alvin Kamara?

Yes, Lloyd is as much a question mark for other reasons. Very difficult for the coaches and the front office. Historically, the need creates opportunity. It will be there for the taking if someone wants it.

In 2007 the Packers lost Ahman Green in free agency to Houston. The story was that TT left us with no running game and Favre would be throw, throw, throw. In fact we were throwing the ball at the one yard line. But a number of weeks into the season Ryan Grant, a Giant castoff, emerged as a feature back and had a very good season. I hope we can put a name to it this year as well.

That’s a great example. He was a 3rd string RB from Liberty University a year earlier. Came in and has a couple hundred yard games if I recall. Anyway great example of a no name player who can come in moments notice and contribute.

Pierre Strong is one of my leading candidates out of the UDFAs to push for a spot, but likely only happens if we keep 4 RBs which is doubtful but I strongly feel he will get call ups this year off the PS.

Excellent RAS, 4th rounder in 2022 that I had as a Day 3 target then....Has seen time with Patriots who drafted him and then Cleveland in 2023 and 2024 before us...He's put up 499 yards on the ground in 99 attempts at a 5.0 Yards per carry clip...he also in 2024 showcased a little third down pass threat being targeted 22 times, 14 receptions and 104 yards.

They have Hockenson and a second TE that are very good. They still have AJ in the backfield. If their O line comes through and they do not have the key injuries at the QB position they could be very dangerous. O'Connell can maximize an offense and they have a reliable kicker in place. I am glad that Harrison Smith no longer sits back there at Safety.

Good points milani. The Queens do have a number of impact players. If they can get help from their D, they would be a hard out. JJM doesn't need to be Tom Brady. He just needs to be able to lead the team on long drives, minimize mistakes, and put up some points. Well, that's easier said then done……..

This will be JJM's second year as starter, I think. How he plays early on will pretty much tell us what to expect from the team.

The NFC North is (again) going to be one tough conference.

Maybe I’m just wishful thinking this who Josh matter away. It’s just too bad because it could throw a hitch in our RB giddy up. One thing that is noticeable with Josh is He grinds out that 1-2 extra yards most RB won’t. I saw plays he should’ve been stopped for -1 and instead he finished with +1. He’s a smart North and South Back and he rarely gets caught doing an Emmanuel for -27 yards or whatever that was. Lol.

Jacobs is one tough RB. He has the ability to jump into a gap the second it is created, and then with a step or three, becomes very hard to bring down.

If Jacobs misses time, there is no RPO threat, Love is gonna be running around a lot in that case.

Maybe Gluten doesn't have to look too hard to cover time missed by Jacobs. And it's time for Lloyd to show up and play, or for the Packers to move on.

Jacobs turned himself in and was booked regarding a domestic disturbance report.
PD had recommended 5 different charges.
The DA has stated the prosecutor is not yet prepared to file charges - stating additional evidence is being gathered.

This is a perfect case of where people confuse the two thresholds in legal proceedings...there is a probably-cause threshold required for arrest and a beyond-a-reasonable-doubt standard needed for formal charges.

Obviously they cannot share details in an ongoing investigation. I suspect given the high profile case, the DA and Prosecutor want to make sure immense due dillegence is followed and that way IF they announce no formal charges are being pursued - they are confident of their decision....and likewise if they do choose to charge, they are equally confident.

I guess that sounds like he will be allowed to play? I'm a little surprised, I would have thought he would be banned from the league until his legal problems are resolved.

For now, no charges have been formally filed. That could change, but that's how it stands for now.
