I think Boykins could develop so next year he would be an above average 4th receiver so letting Jennings walk wont be a big deal. To get to another point I have always liked James Jones but if dumping his salary makes keeping Jennings happen I'm all for it, maybe this is finally the off season where he might be traded because TT will have motivation to on this end as well.

When are Hawk, Pickett, and Woodson out of their contracts? Rodgers is not up for a couple years so giving these 3 contracts time to expire plus maybe trading JJ we might have enough to keep all 4 of the big free agents to be. Just a thought.

With regard to Jennings, it's almost impossible to trade a guy who is becoming a free agent. See Mike Flynn for an example. Teams will set back and try to get him without the compensation that would be required in a trade.

Boykins will never be a Jennings, he doesn't have the speed to be a deep threat. He's more of a James Jones type.

We won't save anything by dumping Jones. His contract isn't up until 2014.

Some are saying we don't have enough money to sign Jennings, Rodgers, Matthews, and Raji. We don't know what the impact would be so that is pure speculation at this point.

Too bad we paid all that money for Hawk!

Bingo, but perhaps they can free it up by parting ways with him, but here's the thing about AJ: He's been very durable here... and look, Desmond Bishop is out, but again there's AJ in his spot.

Hawk will make a few big plays this year unlike last year.

Anyway, I really want to keep Jennings as we will be losing Donald soon.
Jordy & Jones & Cobb aren't as sure-fire as Jennings & Donald.

But Rodgers & Clay are gonna break banks. And Raji too.

This is a difficult situation. Like a pitching staff that is loaded but you cannot afford all of them.
I trust, though, that TT may be the best in the business when it comes to cooking the books to make this work.
Unfortunately, his predecessor would have mortgaged so much that we'd struggle to even sign ARod.
He knows what he can and cannot do. You want Raji, Matthews, and ARod back of course. So TT will pull something out of the hat.

Love GJ85 but there is a lot of WR talent in the league thanks to the impossible task of defending them per NFL rules. Hope he has a contract year though he's on my fantasy team lol

In order 2016, 2014, 2015. A Rod is 2015, but we'll resign him before then.

I don't except Woodson to get anything more than what Driver got this year once his contract is up...if he even gets that, he'll be 38 then

Typical of Ohio State players.

Hey hey...you better watch your mouth buddy haha. Anyways all kidding aside i really like Jennings. If DD stayed this long then why not the same for #85? The receivers are a good group but it would not be the same without Jennings. He takes alot of pressure off the other guy's because he runs great routes and can get deep so the safties must have their heads on the swivel.

It would suck to see him go but hopefully Cobb continues to impress and we are able to draft another decent target. If we get rid of him i just pray he doesn't stay in the NFC north.

So what we should assume is, he will be a Viking within 2 years ;)

Idk about the vikings , he's still relatively young. I'm going to say the Seahawks or Dolphins are the more likely destinations.

They've got to sign Rogers, Matthews, and maybe Raji. James Jones, Hawk, Woodson, and Pickett are on their last contracts. So I would think Jennings, if he stays healthy this year, would get a big contract offer from us before next season.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers acknowledged this might be his final season with receiver Greg Jennings, who is a pending free agent. Via Jason Wilde of ESPNMilwaukee.com, Rodgers said: "I think you have to think about whether or not there's room for all of us. If there's not, obviously you wish Greg the best. He's a great guy and will be a great friend."

Hope greg stays!

The game against KC was our worst offensive performance of the season. Anyway you want to couch it they skipped a beat and Jennings was the only guy missing on offense. I think Jennings being out had much to to do with the flat offensive play against KC.

So then how do you explain the flat offensive performance in the playoffs when Jennings was back and healthy?

Everybody is looking at this in a present tense. We don't know what injuries or production might bring. The cap is expected to rise significantly in the next couple of years and GJ is our 1st or 2nd best receiver depending on who you talk to. Yes, decent receivers are abundant but players of Jennings' caliber are not.
The big guys are picked often in the early rounds because they are all big but a big guy with speed like BJ Raji is rare. He can penetrate from the nose. Those big guys who can get penetration in the passing game are hard to come by - you know like Cullen Jenkins.
Lots and lots of smaller pass rush specialists are chosen each year. Many don't pan out, let's hope Perry will but Matthews certainly did.
No question Jennings would hurt the least but he's a key cog in the system. I'm not okay with Jennings leaving but he is the most likely. Let's hope the cap geniuses in the front office can keep them all.
If I personally were Greg Jennings I'd be "thanks for the memories but I have a family" and take out a full page ad to thank Packer fans. No chance in heck I'd part with a million a year for a ring. It's a job with limited time returns.

I'd like to think that time is on our side..... TT wants to see how much Cobb really does step up, or not.
Or if Boykin really can make a spalsh when it counts.
Or if, who, gets injured.

If the younger cheaper guys can show that they can produce, along with the affordable Jordy & Jones, then they might be able to keep Rodgers, Matthews, and Raji long term by letting Jennings join Larry Fitzgerald down in the Valley. Greg lives down there anyway.... those 2 would be a lethal combo.

If Jennings leaves, I will cry. And it will be a very sad day.

I think a lot of people are forgetting about what he's accomplished for this team so far in his career and getting caught up with some younger receivers.

There is only one player on this roster in the same league as Greg Jennings and that is Jordy Nelson. But Nelson's not as good, just as I feel Cruz isn't as good as Nicks.

He bridged the gap between our Hall of Fame quarterbacks, made the transition to starter for young Rodgers a lot easier, always been a team supporter and has flat out BALLED every year he's been here. One of the most consistent guys who can do just about anything I've ever seen.

I hope he doesn't leave... But if he does- Best of luck GJ!
