Lang or Desmond Bishop for that matter) that goes by with a whisper outside the local media. The key is to lock the guy up early...a guy who's shown he's got the right stuff but hasn't earned the rep yet for the post season awards, which often lags a couple of years at the so-called non-skill positions. It works especially well with second contracts for guys who were not first round picks. Or even an Aaron Rodgers. Third contracts for star players, like the Jennings situation, are more difficult.
