I'm usually not one to jump on the name of a player. And I get the whole age argument. But, I tend to agree with Frank here. There's not a chance he gets claimed under his current contract. As a result, the likely situation is he signs with a contender looking to supplement its pass rush. Someone mentioned ATL and that is probably a pretty good fit for him there. But despite the fact he's old and a 4-3, nine-technique (whatever the hell that means) pass-rusher, I'd be willing to take a flyer on him for, or near, the veterans minimum. What's the worst that happens? He sucks and we lose out a few hundred thousand that really doesn't have cap ramifications. The upshot is maybe we get a guy that's fired up about being cut - humility does wonders for people - and Capers designs a few plays specifically to exploit his pass-rushing skills. He could be our down lineman in the Okie or whatever else Capers has up his sleeve. Bottom line, if the price is right, it wouldn't hurt to take the flyer.
Of course, with all that being said, I'd be absolutely shocked to see TT make this kind of move.
