1) The defense played better than expected.

a. They will be better if the offense can occaisionally not go 3 & out every series.
b. They will be better with Thomas starting at CB.
c. Satety Mark Roman should not be the Packers leading tackler.
d. Detroit is not an offensive powerhouse so they should look good.
e. They did not get a turnover and penalties sustained drives.

2) Special Teams coverage did better than expected.

a. There were few kick off coverage opportunities but covered well enough.
b. Sander punted 6 times 41.3 average.
c. Longwell hit a 50 yard FG.

3) Miscellaneous

a. On offense Henderson and Tauscher played well
b. Whitticker played adequate with a false start penalty.
c. Ahman Green did not fumble.

Those are the positives as the Packers prepare for next week.

We don't seem to get just penalties....we seem to get them ONLY at the most critical moment of a given drive, typically wiping out first downs.

Post count plus one??

Speaking of jumping off the bridge. What's with Dan Patrick calling week two a 'must win' game for some teams? I don't see the logic with that.
