Come on into the live thread. You won’t be disappointed! If you don’t get enough complaining let me know I’ll chime in for the group a little extra

I do think my mentality shift away from just being over the insanity and firing back has created a few "plants" for the sake of humor LOL

The "Live Chat" is entertainingly annoying (for me). It reminds me of watching Packer game in a bar. That said, if you want to meet some people that rarely, if ever, post in the normal threads of the forum, that is the place to do it.

Sounds like Hills "crew" hasn't officiated a Packer game since 2022, against the Patriots.

I'm not excited about reading the following, since I really think refs in general throw WAY TOO MANY flags on defenses for "illegal contact".

"His games also have a 46 percent increase in defensive pass interferences and a 102 percent increase in illegal contact calls, compared to the NFL average. To say the least, he is not going to “let the boys play” on the perimeter of the defense. Aggression at cornerback is strongly disincentivized with this crew."
We were also told that the crew we had in Denver was the worst. Yet, there were not that many penalties that day.

As long as it is 4th and 2 or less, might be a good strategy. Also, if the Packers do go for it. Please don't run up the damn middle!
Just lineup like it is first down, go up to the line, then tell the defense " it is a handoff to Jacobs. " Sound familiar?

Tyni and I are like a Democrat and Republican running the last leg of a Gunny Sack race. I’m cheating as much as I can I’ll ask for Penance later!

I'm not going to ask who's sack is red and whose is blue. :coffee:

Nor will I ask what your political affiliations are. :D

It was remarkable that Vince Lombardi was a Democrat while his wife, Marie, was a Republican, and a fundraiser at that. I could imagine some of their conversations.

Thank you. Thank you very much. My username definitely shouldn’t give it away! I’m Bi political Bi partisan Bi lingual and Bi sected and I’ll stand Bi my conflictions. I’m just trying to be as transparent as I possibly can so that everyone can see the real me.. or see right through me.

As an underage teenager I once got carded by a Bouncer.. he looked at my fake ID and says “this doesn’t look like you” and looked him dead in the eye and says “who else can I be but myself?” For once someone actually saw me for who I really am.
THAT is the kinda transparency I strive for

I'd actually say 4th and 6 or less. Like I said, I'd rather just give them a short field. What kills us is them running the clock and wearing us out. imho

Both past meetings were not super high scoring games. If the weather factors and it likely will, the increased Running should burn clock and limit each teams possessions to around 3-4 per Half. Which means points will be at a premium. Take any FG between
25-45 yards attempts. Anything longer will be impacted heavily by Wind and leave Chicago in good field position anyway.

I do like to go for it on 4th Down and short in several areas, but let’s not looked surprised and do NOT let them substitute.

#1 Inside the opponent <=10 yardline. If you pick up a 1st Down here, it’s then 1st n goal from the Chi8 or 1st n goal from the Chi6 etc. That’s an area I think we have 4 more tries at 7 points as long as we get near goal line.
Plus with a worst case we leave Chicago inside <3 yard line. Which 90% time is a Run

#2 The other area is once we cross midfield. While Whelan has a strong leg, he’s poor at placing the ball inside the 20, much less the <10 yard line. That Punt likely spots it at Chicago20 and often results in a NET 25 yard type transfer. Thats a FAIL! If we touch anywhere close to their Chi45 yard line area on 4th and <3 I’d call it 4-down but let’s have a few inventive plays already designed instead of a stale handoff -5 in the backfield. Go ahead and play for the Win and leak out with a designed QB Option to run and a pulled OL blocker and 1TE + 1 RB option to throw if the play blows up.

Without getting too political. I think the political landscape has changed in the last 10 years. Prior to 2016, it was survivable and tenantable to live in a household where 2 people were on opposite sides of the "aisle". It is no longer a question of foreign policy or taxes, but a question of human rights and dignity.

I don't think any was more polar opposite as James Carville and Mary Matalin.

Along the same lines, I would also say that the Packer defense/special teams really needs to force a few turnovers. Besides the game ending pick by Nixon in game 1, they haven't forced a single turnover against the Bears.

Cold weather is an ideal time to punch and slap at the ball. Might even wrap a returner up but don’t tackle him right away. Let our 2nd guy crash into that ball with intent to dislodge. Let them fight for an extra couple yards but get that ball out.

Similarly with OUR return guys, we need to stay away from any mistakes such as trying to field a Punt at GB6. let it go I’ll take my chances at the GB3 over a fumble TD.

If we receive the opening kickoff do NOT return it just let it go. Start the game clean and let our Offense perform. We don’t need an Eagles repeat fumble TD to energize their fans. Teams are too hyped that 1st drive just remain patient

As long as they FIRST wrap up the tackle and THEN go for the ball. Going after the ball, not getting it and missing the tackle is a big pet peeve of mine, especially when it happens over and over again.
