Eagles tanked it today. Why would you want to have the 9ers come in there with Kittle and CMC instead of the Packers with its best players out until next year?

The Bears should have lost to the Lions by a lot more than 3, but that seems to be their game this year. Just hang around until the 4th quarter and try to pull it out in the end. I can't imagine we are going to be favorites in this game, and I probably wouldn't pick us to win, but I'd also be surprised if we got blown out. I expect it to be close.

Was wondering that too. Pretty sure MLF would have been dragged mercilessly if he gave up a chance on a 2 seed. 6/7? Ok.. I get that. But 2 v 3 pretty significant.

Yes. The #2 gives you an automatic pair of home games with a Wildcard Win. Huge advantage

Also if the #1 seed comes in soft like the 2011 Packers? You get all home games and the lowest remaining seed provided you advance.

I hope the Niners bust them in the mouth.
Ironically Seattle looks like a continuation of the 2024 Vikings with Darnold. Aside from them, I don’t see a team that can be argued is a mismatch for GB. Sf49ers played Chicago very much like GB played Chicago. They just didn’t fumble to give the game away like we did. I’d say SF49ers vs GBP would be a very good matchup, leaning 2-3 points to the 49ers for Stadium advantage and travel distance.

I really think Cox Jr should’ve bought himself a ticket into our D rotation in Chicago. He was one of our most disruptive players when entering the last 7 contests in 2024. Then the second he gets his snaps ramped? Today Brenton Jr just continued on his 2024 warpath. Imo he’s surpassed Enagbare and approaching Rashan
1 Sack
3 QB hits
1 TFL
1 FF

Also MLF find a way to get Oliver in some subpackages. That guy translated and I mean immediately. He was pushing the RT into the pocket all afternoon.

How is it the Steelers D holds the Ravens in check for 3 quarters but we got run over by them?

Have two NFL teams ever played vs each other 3 times in a 6 week span???? If not, next week will mark the 1st time.

Optimistic : 1 part bad matchup for the Packers with their D-line v Henry, 1 part emotional hangover, 1 part I'm guessing whatever bug was going around in the locker room was more draining.

Pessimistic : Clearly we suck and were lucky to be in the playoffs because we should be 0-17.

It's a mindset and you have to give up a little. But you have to hit Henry with some strength a step before he starts rolling. And then gang tackle him. imho

Yes. It helps to have an interior veteran like a Cameron Hayward and a rising star like my draft favorite, Derrick Harmon at DT.

I truly believe that a perfect storm happened at Baltimore. I’m not making excuses we got whooped. Yet the chances of anything close to that (250+ rushing allowed) again would be very low. Sometimes you just suck on a given day.

Steelers were using a lot of 5 down linemen. They have more bulk on the bench. But when they were keying on Henry then Jackson hit some shots downfield. But then, we did not face Jackson. We played against Huntley. Made it more embarrassing.
