As we all know, you Americans don't have beer in America (your beer taste like water..)

Therefore I am going to introduce the first European Beer test, directly from Norway!

Today we are testing/tasting the famous danish Tuborg.

Tuborg is a golden looking beer, the foam is perfect, smells a little of fresh baked bread, has a taste of malt but also has an essence of cookie taste, believe it or not! Together with the cookie taste there is a fruity nice taste, but the beer is a little dry and salty, and there is not enough taste.

    I'm giving it a B-

Let me get this straight. You are putting down American beers.

You are pushing European beers that ...smell like bread.....taste like malt, cookies, fruit, and dry salt that don't have enough taste?

I'll stick to my boring Coors/Coors Light. Hell after 30 of them they taste just like Tuborg!

Damn....why did you have to bring up beer? Time to hit happy hour a little early!!!!

I like Grolsch [sp?], especially the bottles with the ceramic tops.
Only beer I've had that was also good warm.

Otherwise just a good old Killians Irish Red.

Oh yea......In high school...errr...college.......me and three buddies would split a case $3.99. One buck a piece. Man that was nasty beer. It was so cheap sometimes the labels were put on upside down.....no lie!

It had "floaters" in it. Didn't matter at that age.....you just chewed them and kept on drinking. Saved on the munchies later!!

    Beer is to be cold..

The best beer I've ever tasted was the Berliner Kindl, absolutely fabulous...

Harald can you send me a ton Berliner Kindl?

LOLOL!!!!! Depack!!! I WONDERED if anyone would remember that stuff! It was the bottom of the barrel, what was left over after they bottled Pabst! We would drink one "good" beer, and then switch to RW&B! (Like you said.....it was CHEAP!)

Tuborg smells great when you splash it on the sauna rocks.

I agree with Gak that most American beer is terrible. That's why I make my own. If I must have a commercial beer I prefer:

Oktoberfest Beer, created in 1872, is the world's first Oktoberfest beer, brewed for the greatest folk festival in the world.
    Original gravity: 13.7 %
    Alcohol content: 5.9 %

    Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse Dunkel

I have been on 6 continents and in over 30 countries. While most have a local beer it always seems the brewery outside of Europe was originated by some German imigrants.

Hey, I was off for holiday for one week and the first topic I jumped on is this beer- topic.
Warm beer and cold fries.........mmmmmhhh, great american style.

Now Gakk, as I told you before, its not so easy to send some beer to you without any adress. Northpole is not enough of info.

A great budget extender back in college - $4-5 per case. If it was ice cold it proved to be drinkable.

I now have a somewhat more sophisticated sense of quality and prefer:

    1. Spotted Cow
    2. Sprecher Amber
    3. Leinenkugel Honey Weiss
    4. Leinenkugel Amber Light
    5. Boulevard Wheat

:!: That just gave me an idea for a new thread
