The best way to keep Brett from being "wreckless" is to give him options to throw to and have a valid running game. Also if you look at Brett's history some of his best years came when we had a good defense.

It looks like you have two links, but they lead me to the same article. It's a good article, though. It makes a pretty strong argument for why McCarthy may have been a good choice for head coach. I suspected all year that Sherman and his staff were not doing a good enough job reining in Favre. If Favre does stick around, I hope McCarthy can change that.
