Doubt TT will trade up again for anyone, he is lacking in the balls department IMO. He will take best available player on the board.
I actually think he'll trade down out of the first. I can almost guarantee it. And I didn't have him trading up for anyone.

Only taking a comp for Flynn in the 4th.

1. Kevin Minter ILB LSU
It's no secret we need another presence in the middle
2. Phillip Thomas FS Fresno State
Saw him listed as a FS, grabbed him. Physical man, seems to have a good brain.
3. Gavin Escobar TE San Diego State
Has the right body, but is a bit raw.
4A. Graham Pocic C Illinois
Big man who gets off the snap quick.
4B. Corey Fuller WR VA Tech
Reunite him with Boykin. 6'2 and Fast
5. Spencer Ware RB LSU
Big Athletic Powerback.
6. TJ Barnes DT GA Tech
Weighed in at 378 today at the Shrine
7. Dan Catapano DE Princeton
Will play OLB for us.

No Disagreement.

2. Phillip Thomas FS Fresno State
Saw him listed as a FS, grabbed him. Physical man, seems to have a good brain.

Why Thomas over Tony Jefferson, who will proably also be available in round 2? He's a little undersized, but he's a real playmaker who can tackle.

3. Gavin Escobar TE San Diego State
Has the right body, but is a bit raw.

I like Fauria just as much. Fauria is also raw, but his big play ability seems higher than Escobar.

4A. Graham Pocic C Illinois
Big man who gets off the snap quick.

What about Mario Benavides?

4B. Corey Fuller WR VA Tech
Reunite him with Boykin. 6'2 and Fast

I'd prefer Marcus Davis also from VA Tech. Bigger and also fast.
5. Spencer Ware RB LSU
Big Athletic Powerback.
6. TJ Barnes DT GA Tech
Weighed in at 378 today at the Shrine
7. Dan Giordano DE Cincinnati
Will play OLB for us.

Jefferson tends to get selfish, and is strictly a FS, whereas Thomas could probably do both. Really it came down to ceiling.
I like Fauria too, guy has some long arms and bloodline, really tall but he gets lazy. He's a poor man's Finley. Plus Escobar has him beat down the seam and is a more willing blocker, though neither are really any good at blocking.
I have Benavides in the third.
Davis' athleticism is ridiculous, 6'4 with sub 4.5 speed? He also goes in the third. I'd be more impressed with his YAC had he faced decent competition, almost a third of it came against Clemson with another chunk at Arizona and GA tech. Giggled that his blocking was so poor practically went viral.

Tyler Eifert is a great TE prospect, but I wish mocks would stop linking us to him. I don't want a TE in the first round.

HOW DID I NOT KNOW KWAME GEATHERS DECLARED??? Back to the boards!!!

He could be there when we pick in the 2nd round.

I'd like us to pick the BPA in the 1st, and hopefully that would be an ILB or a C. Then Geathers in the 2nd. Him or Jesse Williams could be a great draft. Williams probably will be gone by the 56th pick however.

Although if Lacy is there in round 2 at RB, do we take him?

Lacy would be nice, but there are plenty of suitable powerbacks, even in the later rounds. For our offense I like Kulabafi as the best fit or Bell for the best complement, both despite serious mileage. NT with that kind of size and athleticism who has experience as both a NT and a DE in a 34 system? YOU GOTTA BE :poop:N ME!!! Better believe that kid is on some boards. He's raw, and has his technical flaws, but 3rd round is PLENTY of value for the kid (slotted mid 4 to early 5 on most boards) He and Brandon Williams (early 4) could see some serious stock rise after workouts. Aussie Thunder might not make it to our FIRST pick, 34 DL take a while to develop, so prior system exp is a HUGE +. Jesse will also be on 43 lists because of this year. Slim chance we get a decent shot at him. Few systems possibly switching to 34 this year needing NT will drive some of the heavy boys up even further.

Actually I think we may have a real shot at Jesse Williams in round 1. Looking over the lists of those who are ranked higher than Williams (not that it means a lot at this stage), I see as many as 7 DTs/DEs who will be picked before Williams, and possibly all 9:

Lotulelei, Hankins, Richardson, Werner, Moore, Montgomery and Ansah are all high on draft lists.

DT

8 Star Lotulelei DT 1 Utah Sr 6-3 320 1
14 *Johnathan Hankins DT 2 Ohio State Jr 6-3 320 1
16 *Sheldon Richardson DT 3 Missouri rJr 6-3 295 1
20 Jesse Williams DT 4 Alabama Sr 6-3 320 1

DE

2 *Bjoern Werner DE 1 Florida State Jr 6-4 256 1
6 *Damontre Moore DE 2 Texas A&M Jr 6-4 250 1
18 *Sam Montgomery DE 3 LSU rJr 6-5 260 1
23 Alex Okafor DE 4 Texas Sr 6-5 265 1
24 Ezekiel Ansah DE 5 Brigham Young Sr 6-5 270 1
27 Dion Jordan

They will probably get a 4th round compensatory pick for the.loss of Jennings
4th. David Quessenberry T/G
5th. Devin Taylor DE/OLB can give us some depth at OLB
6th. DE
7th. WR
7th round compensatory for loss of Walden
7th. Depth at defense
Those comps won't come til next year, and this year's comps are already out. We got a 5th for Flynn.

Looks good to me. One player I'd consider if he was there in the 2nd: Terron Armstead. Yeah I know our LT situation is already crowded, but Newhouse is a backup and Sherrod we simply have to chalk up as a loss I'm afraid.

I'm still not ready to chalk Sherrod up as a loss is all, I'm willing to give him one last year and maybe pick up an undrafted guy. If he's not ready by mid season, I'm cutting him and signing somebody else, then drafting another guy in the early rounds of 2014.
