Yeah, I've said it before.

I don't think FA is something to ignore, like TT do.

But I can't remember the last time a BIG SPENDER in FA won the SB in that year.

Reggie White came in in 93. He had 2 seasons building chemistry before we achieved the SB. And we're talking about arguably the best DL of all time, not the regular FA out there.

Usually, when FAs receive the big money, they don't put the same effort they used to. So it's not the same comparison with top pick rookies (though some are lazy as well).

I also agree that big FA signings don't instantly turn into super bowl wins. Yet, I do think that to really build a super bowl team, the GM needs to be awesome through the draft, but they should also be able to see how FA can fill needs and bring veteran leadership or a little competition to a certain position.
