They're already asking about this at work. Apparently I'm supposed to take it along "for my own sanity" (I guess the Blackberry and cell phone are not sufficient). My standard response is that divorce is expensive and computers are heavy so it's staying in Toronto.

Seriously though, thanks for the well wishes guys!

The Ms.? Aren't you an enlightened man!

Seriously folks, thanks for all the well wishes. I may drop in from time to time between now and next Tuesday (when we leave for Italy) but it'll be sporadic.

Doing some pickerel/walleye fishing tomorrow with my uncle. Probably too early to get much, but I'm going out anyway.

I can't say that I know too many ppl who target pickerel specifically. Good luck...there really aren't many down here in VA, so catch a few for me.

What I mean be pickerel is actually a certain type of walleye that live in the Winnipeg river about 90 miles north of Winnipeg, Manitoba. They have this really cool green colour that you don't see anywhere else. They taste amazing (it's actually the fish option for dinner at my wedding). It's 6:17 a.m. and we're on our way out to the river (I've been looking forward to this since November).

oh...never knew that. Well, good luck! Are they making their spawning run right now, or did that already occur?

I do envy you...we only have smallies, largemouth, and a random musky down here...would love to be jigging or trolling for some 'eyes right now!

    Holy Schnikees..TO......

You eat pickerel..?? They're bony as hell.....

That's all you can catch in New Jersey here since we don't have Pike or Muskelunges...that and some catfish, bass, and sunnies..oh..and herrings when they run...and shad.

I caught a 36 inch pickerel once with a rappala lure on some 8 lb test...Pretty good fight...but to eat one...

    NEVER!

You can catch a helluva lot more than THAT in New Jersey
