There is always a rift in the scheduling that keeps people un-happy. For the instance the 2 divisonal games between Minnesota was only split by one team (San Diego, yet the bye week) I wasn't too thrilled when I first seen it, but it worked out to an advantage I thought.

So how would you want the 2012 schedule to be?

I would order it like this

Week 1 At Chicago
Week 2 At Seattle
Week 3 San Francisco
Week 4 At Detroit
Week 5 Jacksonville
Week 6 Tennessee
Week 7 At Minnesota

Week 8 -BYE-
Week 9 New Orleans
Week 10 At Houston
Week 11 At New York Giants
Week 12 Chicago
Week 13 Detroit
Week 14 At St. Louis
Week 15 Arizona
Week 16 Minnesota

They deserve to start out with a rough part of the schedule, Chicago and Seattle on the road, then the bigger one as San Francisco at home, but Detroit on the road, also a tough one.

I would say keep the bye week right before New Orleans or New York, but ultimately half way through the way, we'd know if this team is contending for the division. Pit them against the toughest stretch, which can be the Giants, Saints, and Texans, but finish with 1 road game left.

This is a much tougher schedule than last season, so I would like to see it be challenging.

Man, I don't about 3 of the first 4 on the road. We could dig ourselves in a hole real quick. Seattle always a tough place to play.

The Colts don't even get a mention on your fake schedule.:(

Start average, mix in some weaker teams and finish strong. I think we all saw this year just how important it is to peak at the right time and beating the crap out of bad teams is not peaking. IMO the season tilted in the wrong direction during halftime of the Raiders blowout. They got sloppy in the 2nd half sitting on that huge lead and it went all downhill from there.

Holy crap..... the part after the bye is brutally hard. We can win em all, but I would call that part more tough than the start out part.

Where's week 17?
Goodell eliminate it on us?

Wrote down all the names of teams on a piece of paper.
Cut them up and put them into a hat. (You should be happy to know that it was a fedora, Bogart.)
Drew the names one at a time.
Here's what I got.
1 - Rams
2 - Bye
3 - 49ers
4 - Lions
5 - Vikes
6 - Colts
7 - Titans
8 - Saints
9 - Lions
10 - Vikes
11 - Giants
12 - Bears
13 - Texans
14 - Bears
15 - Jags
16 - Seahawks
17 - Cards

I notice that you have all dome teams at the end of the year, with 3 of them being in Green Bay. And were is Indy? Or is the NFL just going to give that one to the Packers?

My (future) brother-in-law lives in Salem, Oregon and is a Cowboys fan.

My brother lives in Dallas and is a Cowboys fan.

The Packers and the Cowboys both play in Seattle this year.

I'd love to take a 2 week vacation to the west coast and see back to back pro football games in Seattle this year with the boys!

Your Weeks 9-13 would be rough. NO at home, @Houston and NYG, those three right there are all potential losses. Then nothing is guaranteed with the bears and lions, no matter where it is.

One thing, We WILL play the Giants week one. That being said...
1: @Giants
2: @Chicago
3: Minnesota
4: Jacksonville
5: Lions
6: Arizona
7:mad:Houston
8 Bye
9: NO
10: @Seattle
11: Tennessee
12: @St. Louis
13: @Lions
14: San Fran
15: @ Minnesota
16: Colts
17: Bears

Put tough games after easy ones (for the most part).

The tougher games together I think tests them if they are really battle proof for the playoffs.

Never know what to expect in the NFL. I don't think many people really took the 49ers seriously until they beat the Steelers. Curious as who our surprise team will be next season.

Based on years past, and where the NFL is going, I think this is much more likely, I don't mind having the bye week a little bit later,

I wonder what factors or other considerations the NFL has to think about when scheduling teams.
I mean, like each team the Packers play, they all play against other teams too.
Division rivals, TV schedules, home or away or if this or that can happen or is available etc, etc.
I think scheduling may be tougher than it seems.
All we're doing is just thinking of one team and not the opponents. We're just kinda flying blind, aren't we?

It would be interesting to see whose schedule on here comes closest to the real thing.
Maybe Robdog could award a prize or something .
But would it probably just win on luck alone?

Seriously are the Colts invisible?:( It's the game I am looking forward to most next year lol. Even if the Packers win by 30. Hey who knows......it might be a good one.
