If Favre calls it quits do we bring in a Vet as insurance?

I say yes. I have not seen anywere near enough to just hand to reigns to anyone yet. It would be foolish to not at least look around for a Jeff Garcia type player if Favre rides off into the sunset.

Anyone know who might be a good fit?

You mean Aaron and Ingle aren't the answer...?

I say yes..you need three QB's anyway. Does Tampa Bay have Chris Simms locked up?

I know he's not a veteran but who the hell else is out there?

Matt Schaub is out there, he's a rock solid veteran! Possibly a good starter if Mr. Rodgers flops.

He wants out of Atlanta and I think Green Bay should offer him enough money to lure him over here....!

We would need to give up a draft pick for him though, that's a concern.

Otherwise Huard and Rattay are available.

How do you know he wants out? If that's true, that's great news!

Byron Leftwich might be available from what I've heard. He's either a FA, or might be cut. Seems like a tough guy, and an adequate starter. He's no Brett Favre, but he can win games.

Schaub wants out because he has shown glimts of being a starting QB and he himself believes he can be a starter somewhere.

I assume that. I jus didn't know Schaub actually said he wants out of Atlanta.

He hasn't said it, but everyone knows it.

Personally I believe the Falcons should get rid of Vick and go with Schaub really.

 ... I took ur words as fact. Thought ya heard something I didnt! lol

I agree. Vick is over rated. I've said it since he came into the league an until he can control his cannon, I'll continue with it.

I would give up a draft pick for Schaub if Favre retires, the only question is how he will be rated, he isn't worth more than a 2nd round pick to me.
