I sure hope the basics are a major focus this year.

    Yes that would be tackling and blocking which seemed to be a big problem last year. Sure and team tackling and blocking would be a real asset in gaining a win this year. Penalties might be a focus this year also which cost us some wins. It is good that special teams are a main theme via punting and the kicking game period. Yes I like our Linebacker Coach, Green and I think he can still get that animal attitude going with a little extra push on the backside thank you very much. :happy0005::smile2:

    Mccarthy stresses the "fundamentals" every year during practice. This offseason, I've haven't heard him say it as much but I'm sure he still keeps it as a priority. Poor tackling really hurt us against the run in the wildcard game. Beanie Wells had over 100 yards rushing I believe.
