Okay, now it's official: The Packer RB situation is a mess.

Morency and Jackson are expected to play Sunday.

And that brings confidence how... Mo is close to having spent more weeks on the shelf injured that healthy for the Packers since arriving here and Jackson in his collegiate career wasn't a model of durability. To expect them to remain healthy this year is optimism at it best.

I hope that they reverse the trend, but to repeat yourself multiple time (probably another after this) is more telling of hope than anything else.

Will things be okay and work themselves out... in time yes or to a degree, but in my mind, Mo returning after no reps this preseason isn't comforting a bit. Jackson comming back is....

Look at Ted statement yesterday... he knows that things are in flux and I would be disappointed if he doesn't make a serious run at fixing it before the trading deadline.

In Favre's right arm we trust and the Line comming alive with the cut blocking in live action.

Well Mo will be in his 2nd year with GB. Mo, who averaged more than Ahman last year.

Jackson had a MILD concussion, and will be playing.

Both are expected to play. Both, who were projected starters in training camp, are PLAYING. Losing herron sucks, but he was a 3rd down specialist with nice hands. BOTH OUR PROJECTED STARTERS ARE EXPECTED TO PLAY SUNDAY.

GB has more RBs after that.

What's wrong with you people.

Yep I guess we should only look at the Philly game and not worry about the rest of the season.. yep that is the answer I was missing :)

Thanks for the adjustment... no need to wonder if the line can open holes, the running back can exploit these given holes or that we have someone that can pick up a blind side blitz. I forgot that our starters answered those questions this preseason...

Forgive a fan for wondering and asking a prudent question to this unproven backfield.

How are we suppose to trust a RB who cant even make it through the first training camp practice? What makes you think he'll last an entire NFL season? As for B-jack, he's an unproven rookie. He's shown quite a bit of potential, but you really dont know what you're gonna get out of him. I think we all have a right to be concerned.

Well first of all we're not going to trust him, we're going to give him a chance. When the season begins the ZBS will be in full throttle, which it hasn't been so far in practice or in the preseason.

I think our running game will be better when the season starts because the blockers won't hold anything back, you just wait and see.

Thats some funny logic, because the running game will be BETTER after the philly game. Mo gets back into shape, Jackson gets used to NFL game speed, and the cutting steps up.

and Packerfanforever, "unproven rookie" is sort of redundant don't you think? lol.

Do you have to be so rude to everyone who questions the team? I don't see how anyone can look at the RB postion and not say its an area of concern. And with the exception of a few knuckleheads who are here to push a TT hating agenda, that's all anyone is saying.
Do I think that we are going to have an inept running game? No I think we will probably start running slow but barring major injuries we will get consistantly better throughout the year. After some of the usual growing pains you experience with a backfield change they have the potential to be a decent running game.
On the other hand do I think we will be able to put the game on the back of our running game and take control if the rain starts pouring and the wind starts swirling in week 1? No, we have an "unproven rookie" ( And no that's not redundent because B-Jack doesn't even come to the team with a history of great college success, so in that sense he is unproven and a rookie) and someone coming off injury.
I would be willing to be you that TT wont say it but he sees our running game as an area of concern right now too, and, I'm sure he looking at all the guys who are available to see if any of them can help us and are worth the cost.

Jeez, ya ever wonder why so many people post 1 message and then leave the board.

Well said, PackerGeek. You should post more often. I might add that, personally, the running backs are my only major concern heading into week #1, which means I feel pretty good about the team that Thompson and McCarthy have put together. I don't see many fans griping about any other position right now, and that's pretty remarkable.

The problem with the backs is due to injuries, which is just bad luck, with the possible exception of Morency, who does have a history of being somewhat injury-prone. I agree that the running game will probably get better as the season goes on, but it's not where anybody, including Thompson and McCarthy, would like it to be heading into week one.

I agree that Tromadz is fairly rude and arrogant fairly often. Don't question or be any bit concerned about the packers or you are automatically a dumb-***!! Reminds me of many Republican's down here in the south with George Bush, heh.

I try not to say anything because I know he lives on this forum and don't want to perpetuate his all-knowing arrogance.

Chill out a bit man. geeeeez.

reminds me more of those ignorant liberal democrats.

Politics is something I'm pretty certain Ryan is a against on this forum. I could be wrong though but I wouldn't start debating the ignorance of democrats and republicans.

Sorry Bert.

You didn't bring it into this. I'm going to close this thread because this is not a politics forum.
