Alright I agree with what he's said so I'm going to throw out some names of some guys I'd like to see in Green and Gold. Probably not going to happen. Pro Football Weekly is reporting McCarthy will keep his coaching staff intact. Collins won't be able to do what he did New Years Eve all the time but he certainly can play at a high level. I think he's going to be a breakthrough player for us next year. At least I hope. Marvel Underwood can and I think will be our guy. Also Laron Landry of LSU and Reggie Nelson of Florida via the Draft look good. Ken Hamlin and Michael Lewis are two big name free agents. Frankly I like Underwood enough to give him a spot but a free agent does need to be signed for competition. No giving the job to a player by default. I rather see them compete. In a perfect world: Will Blackmon but he can't be trusted because well we haven't really seen much of him in the NFL. I am not in favor of going out and signing Clements or Samuel. Dumb move IMO with Harris and Woodson playing at a Pro Bowl Level. I'd like to see Nick Harper from the Colts brought in. We need to restructure KGB's deal and if he doesn't want to then we need to cut him. Cullen Jenkins needs to return and Corey Williams needs an extension as well. I'd like to see maybe Charles Johnson from Georgia in the Draft or Justin Smith a free agent from Cincinnati. Smith is my #2 free agent on my wish list only to Tony G. I think he could thrive in our system and opposite of Kampman. Can be done via the Draft. Maybe a 3rd or 4th round pick on a return man. Though Koren Robinson can certainly return kicks as well. Franks shouldn't return but if he does he's a good blocker. Daniel Graham, Tony G, Jeremy Shockey (if he opts out of his deal) and Eric Johnson are names I like. Zach Miller from Arizona State and Greg Olsen from Miami via the Draft in round 2 would look good in green and gold. I'd like to see one of the 3 free agents I mentioned and I'd like to see either Miller or Olsen drafted in round 2. Another target is a need but I don't think we need Drew Bennett. I keep hearing his overrated name on the radio and he's going to be demanding a lot of money. He's not worth it. I like Patrick Crayton of the Dallas Cowboys. He is very sure handed and a great route runner. Dallas is expected to pickup some big bonuses on Terrell Owens and Terry Glenn. If so they may not have enough money to sign Crayton to an extension. He's an RFA that could be a bargain. Dwayne Jarrett of USC or Ted Ginn Jr. of Ohio State via the Draft might be nice. Though I believe Jarrett is off the board and Ginn could be gone as well when we pick. Marshawn Lynch of California is my dream pick right now. He's a great receiver out of the backfield and he's a perfect fit for our zone blocking scheme. Explosive home run threat our offense needs right now. Would be a great pick. Michael Turner will come at a price of a 1st round pick and he's not worth it. I'd like to see Ahman Green resigned and even Chris Brown is a bit intriguing. Possible but a lot to ask for. Even if it ends up being 2/3 as good it's still going to be solid. Our last draft glass was great. Certainly possible though. and Jason Spitz. and Charles Woodson, Ryan Pickett, Mark Tauscher, (when healthy) and Scott Wells. Though Harris deserves to get paid IMO. No doubt but if he doesn't the Packers can't let that effect their off season plans to get better. No matter what we need to move forward.
