You mean your facts about Favre's stats from 1996?
As if that has anything at all to do with the topic.

Is that what you mean?
By the way, I comented on your post in the smack are where you had to go back to dig up something from last October.

Want to talk about the Bears losing the title game to the Giants in 1956 too?

You are really stretching man.

WEAK!

Dug up? lol ... there was no digging, i clicked ur profile, it came up as the last post ... didnt make sense so i clicked it, not my fault this site has a flawed system for finding last posts when u click the profile of a user ... blame that on the site admin bubba

if you want to campare the 2 qb why dont you compare favres 4th year to grossmans 4th year. i think that is a more fair way of compareing the 2 qbs.

http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/1028 (favres stats)

http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/396159(gross mans stats)

look at the team favre is around and look at the team grossman is around.

stats wise grossman is the better qb but, that does not mean that he is in reality the better qb.

i agree with what zero said, you havr to keep other things in mind such as dropped passes...........

WEAK!

Really?
The last post that I made was in October?
Even if it was, what made you comment on something from over 3 months ago?

Face it. You have become my stalker and are fixated on my comments.
You were even begging me to comment on your posts right here in this forum.

I hear alot of trash talking from the GB Favre-o-philes about this guy, but lets have a look at his numbers when compared to a certain "Hall of Fame" QB this season.

G Gs Att Cmp % Yds YPA Lg Td Int 20+ 40+ Rate
Rex Grossman:16 16 480 262 54.6 3193 6.65 62 23 20 47 8 73.9

Brett Favre: 16 16 613 343 56.0 3885 6.34 82 18 18 49 8 72.7

Well it looks to me like Grossman is clearly the better QB. He has a better rating, more yards per attempt, more TDs. Favre only has more attempts and more yards, and a worse TD/INT ratio. Oh yeah, and Grossman didnt have a "Pro Bowl" reciever to work with. If Grossman is so terrible, how do you all get by saying that you hope Favre comes back next season to lead you all to the promise land? Grossman's first year starting, and he played better ball.

Isn't Grossman on a better team. We're talking better running backs, offensive line, probably better receivers (outside of Driver) and a way better Defense and a Pro Bowl return man. GB has 2 Pro Bowlers. Chicago had how many????

A QB can thrive with the right amount of players around him. I would say if Favre was on the Bears he'd be a lot better. His numbers are rather impressive with a lowly average at best Green Bay Packer team as Bear fans have called them.

Bears are better than the Packers. Say that. Brag about it all you want while you still can. Enjoy it. Grossman is not better than Brett Favre. That‘s a ridiculous statement.. Not now. Maybe he will be someday. Who knows?? He had 3 or 4 games with a passer rating of 10. When Grossman is bad he's really bad.

Long time no see guys. I just happened to be bored out of my mind and thought I would check in on my old home. Surprisingly I see the most insane, stupid, ignorant, completely irrational post ever and thought I could lend a little truth to the obviously challenged person who posted this.

First off when comparing 2 guys you go on statistics for a career. Judging by 1 year would be ridiculed by anyone of any intelligence. So lets look at the last 4 years.

Rex
2003 Chicago Bears 3 3 72 38 52.8 437 6.07 59 2 1 4/41 7 1 74.8
2004 Chicago Bears 3 3 84 47 56.0 607 7.23 40 1 3 5/22 8 1 67.9
2005 Chicago Bears 2 1 39 20 51.3 259 6.64 54 1 2 1/9 4 1 59.7
2006 Chicago Bears 16 16 480 262 54.6 3193 6.65 62 23 20 21/142 47 8 73.9

Brett
2003 Green Bay Packers 16 16 471 308 65.4 3361 7.14 66 32 21 19/137 42 7 90.4
2004 Green Bay Packers 16 16 540 346 64.1 4088 7.57 79 30 17 12/93 50 12 92.4
2005 Green Bay Packers 16 16 607 372 61.3 3881 6.39 59 20 29 24/170 40 7 70.9
2006 Green Bay Packers 16 16 613 343 56.0 3885 6.34 82 18 18 21/134 49 8 72.7

Statistically speaking Brett has outmatched Rex for 3 out of 4 years. So if judging by stats alone the obvious better QB has been Brett Favre. Now, lets not forget that Brett has outdone Rex while on the downside of his career while Rex is into his prime. Brett in his prime SHATTTERED every stat you see above in Rex's statline. Lets sum this up

Brett in his Prime Vs Rex in his Prime - Not Even Close --- Brett
Brett in his career Vs. Rex in his Career - Not Even Close ---- Brett
Brett the last 4 years Vs. Rex in his last 4 --- Again ---- Brett
Brett in 2003 Vs. 2003 Rex --- Broken Record --- Brett
Brett in 2004 Vs. 2004 Rex ----- Again --- Brett
Brett in 2005 Vs. Rex in 2005 ---- zzzzzz --- Brett
Brett in 2006 Vs. Rex in 2006 ---- FINALLY --- Rex

So it looks to me that Brett blows old Rexxy out of the water.......but then again, you didn't need me to tell you that did you?

Now Lets see who else is better than Brett and Rex both basedon your logic

1 Peyton Manning IND 4397 557 362 31 9 68 101.0

Wow, I guess its fair to say Damon Huard is better than Drew Brees! Sound Moronic?

It seems Jon Kitna is the Best QB in our division........amazing!

No wait, There's More..........

Wow, Charles Woodson must be heads and shoulders above Ricky Manning. Oddly Enough Asante Samuel is better than Champ Baily as well.

Maurice Jones-Drew avereged 5.7 yards a carry. This must mean he is better than LT, LJ, Alexander, Parker, Jackson, Barber, etc......Get real

I must say Kampman is obviously better than Freeny and Peppers by a mile.

I could go on and on with absurdities but even a Bear fan should be able to grasp this.

Bottom Line.......Rex Grossman is mediocre. Packers fans know it, Bears fans know it, the whole world knows it. Rex is nothing but a liability. They are not in a Super Bowl because of Rex. If that is the case Trent Dilfer was a great QB as well.

Grossman is a disaster, has a ******, and will never be spoken with in the same breath with Brett. Comparing the careers is like comparing Rosie O'Donnell with Anna Kournikova.

One is an iron man who is definitely a first ballot HOF and will hold nearly every record imaginable when he retires and is beloved by his fans.

The other is a schizophrenic piece of fine China who admittedly takes games off and is often booed by his own fans and will be joining Cade McNown soon enough flipping burgers at the local fast food joint.

We saw who the better QB was on Dec. 31st when they went head to head. Well, until they yanked your ol' boy out of the game at least.

We know you want him gone and I would to considering over the course of his career he has beat the Bears like rented mules time after time.

Now begin the ...... over the last 2 years ........ or ....... when the Bears wore black socks on a day below 65 degrees with a windchill below 60 during a day when the president was visiting an african country and Lovie Smith was ovulating and Tank johnson was stockpiling WMD's.......blah blah blah

Your selective stats are amusing but not credit worthy. Later

Porky and Pyle.......BOTH GREAT POSTS!
However......how DARE you attack Bears fans with stats AND logic!
You better be careful! You will make their "Rex LOVE fest" come crumbling down! If they saw the truth and admitted it, their world would fall apart!
Using logic on these guys makes about as much sense as handing Rosie O'Donnel a "Playgirl" magazine. Both wouldn't want to look at either of them.

And what is the FIRST thing a Vikings fan does in the morning???
Comes to THIS site to hear the "words of WISDOM" from the CHEESEMEISTER!
That way, he has started his day off right! Now he can co-mingle with his other Viking friends and not lose his sanity! When they start talking, he can just shut them off and remember the words of wisdom he has gleemed here, and he knows he will be alright!
(He can always check back later in the day for his refill!) :rotflmao:

i think it comindable that you think highly of your q.b. but he doesnt have the the fundamentals as a good q.b. that is why it is so easy to pick him off some of it i think is he is gun shy to run wouldnt want to mess up his knees again look at ferggie for an instance brett shoed moves gossman could not and he did it with bone spurs in the foot and what is a 0.0 rating he got in games brett on the other hand maybe it wasnt his best year but it was better than last hope grossman shows his better side this sunday he will have to in order to win.

Hey now, Brett does not have good fundamentals lol. I highly doubt you will see any coach of a QB tell someone to watch how Brett throws an to emulate it. :)

how will you feel when grossman gives the game to the colts, because he panicks when outside the pocket, and he gives the ball up to the colts who will turn them into points forget comparing him to favre ,he needs to win on his own merits 3 games arent it and i feel he will lose his team mates if he messes up in the super bowl

Grossman's first year starting, and he played better ball.

lol this is sad ... so if he wins a SB would that make him better then Marino was ..... typical bears fan ... first of all rex sucks if he didnt have the o line he had ... he would be dead ... lol he had 20 ints ... i dont even want to imagine if his suroundings were worst wow ... 200 ints?

SURE!!! He's JUST as good as Marino! In fact, by the end of Sunday, he will have lost just as many Super Bowls as Marino! :rotflmao:

How about a stat free way to settle it. Ask current NFL receivers who they'd rather have as their QB.

Then ask NFL corners who they'd rather play against.

Give them the choice of Brett Favre or Rex Grossman and then go bury your Bear head in your Bear...

Btw, Trent Dilfer already proved that a team can win the SB without the QB.

They ARE rather amusing, arn't they? I especially like how FULL of themselves they are lately. (Some of them at least)
Wonder if that bubble does burst this sunday whether or not they will be so bragadocious anymore.

They ought to be full of themselves, their team is in the Super Bowl. I'm jamming it hard if the Packers were in, albeit here not on the Vikings or Bears forum, but still, I'd be full of myself :)

Well SURE! They HAVE to do it while they have the ONE chance. It might never happen again.
What i'm saying is, the PERSONALITY change that i noticed in one of the guys that visits here since his team got better.
With me, i'm the same win or lose. And i don't go to Bears, Lions, or Vikings sites and get all up in their faces. I don't think i ever would do that.
As you probably read, i congratulated them on their season a couple times on here already. (Thought some were gonna ride me off on a rail!!!)
I would be whooping it up if the Pack was in it, for sure!

Yeah Bearsperspective and Phil......you sure were right! I would MUCH rather have Rex then Brett! Rex really lit up the scoreboard! One TD for the Bears, ONE for the Colts!!!
All those GREAT stats really paid off for you guys in the end, hey?

Later

I think the Grossman bashing needs to continue until Lovie Smith finally gets it out of his skull that Grossman SUCKS!

Urgh! I lost a lot of money because of Grossman. That was the Bears game to lose and Grossman lost it for them. Grossman sucks, he always sucked, and always will suck.

That one INT should have been a TD. Was that Berrian the WR? Anyways, I think so. Berrian had two steps on the Colts' guy. That was an easy TD. Instead, Grossman threw it up in the air like a moron and it got picked off. Grossman can't do anything right under pressure. He's like an abused dog who panics anytime a loud noise is made. He does not belong in the NFL.

I'm really sorry Bears fans. I really am. I was rooting big time for y'all and your QB let me down. I'm angry too, because next month I'm going to make another business trip back east and have to deal with all the d*mn Manning fans. It's all Grossman's fault. He lost the SB for you guys, a game you should have won.

I told you your special teams would produce. I told you your defense would produce, which it did. But Grossman kept bumbling around and couldn't create opportunities. The sooner you can him, the better your future chances will be.

I hope all the Grossman vs Favre comparisons can cease right here and right now. If Favre was your QB, that Lombardi trophy would be yours and you know it too.
