That's what I was going to say, I thought kind of the opposite too. Whether you call it "pressure" or "expectations" we seem to play much better when we can just be "loose," I guess. Like a couple years ago, I think we were 5-5 or 5-6 and went into Arrowhead and played the Chiefs and beat them pretty handily. They were defending champs AND went on to win that same season too, but we handled them. Or when we go into Dallas as the 7 seed and trounce them in the playoffs. Even this year most everyone was picking the Lions to win week 1 and many would've picked the Commanders too, but we won those. But then it's the "should wins" that we are big favorites in that seem to get us tripped up more often than not, haha. Maybe it really is that we are a team who is too often "looking ahead" - it does seem (anecdotally, at least) that we've got a tendency to get tripped up in the "should wins" directly before the games on the schedule that look like they should be tougher contests. I said it before, I think when this team plays an "on" game they can beat anyone, but the opposite is true too. I heard Ryan Clark talking about it the other day (and admittedly I think he is kind of a Packer hater lol) but he said something like "This team makes you feel at times like they could walk into any stadium and lose" and unfortunately I think there's some truth to that as well. Like, if we were scheduled against the AFC East this year and played the Jets next week and the Bills in two weeks, it would not at all be surprising if we were already thinking ahead to the Bills game and ended up losing to the Jets...only to turn up and beat the Bills anyhow. So it goes...
