Probably his best shot at making this Roster. I said earlier that I think him and Heath both could miss the WR cut. This move to CB is just one more glimpse of that thought being reinforced. First of all. Nixon stated he didn’t want to resume Return duties as he needed to concentrate on CB (it’s obviously in his best interest $$ wise in the future to stay at CB). I don’t blame him if he wants a lucrative contract it’s not generated from Teams. Secondly with Alexander gone we can’t afford to risk unnecessary injury to Nixon returning Kicks imo. I think it would extremely unwise to have our starting perimeter CB playing Return guy. Good way to turn him into Khylin Hill. That leaves options like Golden, Savion or Hardman. Before anyone laughs at the Golden comment. He was just returning Punts in OTAs with Nate Hobbs I believe out front of him if memory serves. That’s a hard memory to make go away. I don’t like this at all. Especially when we have Mecole Hardman in house. It’s almost irresponsible if we expect Golden to be earning his keep at PR imo. Someone needs to rethink that dumb idea. Unless it’s Postseason and the last drive of the game to tie or Win, Golden needs no part in that conversation
