I finally got the letter from the Packers Ticket Office telling me that I can jump onto the Gold ticket waiting list, if desired. I knew that I was around #10,000 on the Green list. If I change to the Gold waiting list, there are only about 1,500 people in front of me. Clearly I would get those tickets faster. If I wait for Green, I would get those in 8-12 more years based on historical trends.

Here is my question for any Gold season ticket holders. Are you able to get playoff tickets if you want them most seasons?

I ask because Green ticket holders get first dibs, and any unspoken-for tickets are then put out to Gold season ticket holders in a random drawing. That's a big decision point for me, because I love cold playoff games.

2 things to think about:

Are there as many Green as Gold seats? Im thinking a good chunk of the Gold (Milwaukee games) let their tickets go and didnt want to drive up to GB for games. With fewer gold seats, the wait for Gold maybe longer than you think.

There are people ahead of you who got this same letter who are going to switch to Gold. Maybe the wait for green isn't as long as you think.

Yes. My mom moved her Gold tickets to me about 6 years ago. I have been picked for playoff tix every year except 1. I have 4 for this season, too. My mom, when finally getting her tix, was offered either 2 for the green package or 4 for the gold. I told her get the 4 gold seats. Why? Because you only need to worry about 3 games per year. I had also been a Falcons season ticket holder and knew/understood the pain in the *** it can be dealing with so many games throughout the year. The Gold package was MUCH more manageable for me.

Great points. I tried to pump as much info out of the ticket office lady as possible, but it was like a Bill Belichik press conference.

Good points. I gave up college football tickets because it was hard to find people to take or buy my tickets. The Packers are different though, in that there has been a strong market for tickets for the last 30+ years.

My big issue is that I have always resisted posting my tickets online, because I did not want opposing fans to buy them. I should create an online portal for Packers fans to sell tickets to one another!

Unless you're transferring tix to someone you know, the ONLY way you can sell them online is via Ticketmaster. You have to do it through your Packer tix on the app or website.

I only went to one game at the very old Milwaukee Stadium. That place was the worst place imaginable for football. One corner of one end zone ended about a yard from the stands, if my memory is right.

It wasn’t very good for baseball either.
