And you wanna know what else is funny about Eli?
One more time, it's not being disrespectful but it's for laughs.
He kicked and screamed his way to get away from the team that first drafted him.
"I don't wanna play for them! I wanna go play for the Giants!! Wahh! Wahh! Help me daddy!"
And what did Aaron Rodgers do?
He took it like a man and went to play for the Packers even though he probably would have preferred to play for the team he was a fan of, the 49ers.
Isn't that funny?

YOu're right, and you know what, he shouldnt have been allowed to play. Same goes for Elway. he refused to play for the colts, even threatened to play for the Yankees, who already drafted him, seems he had a great arm. I agree with you, but they did their trade, and so be it. Listen, the Giants and Packers have deep roots in the NFL, both teams and organizations are class acts. And contrary to public opinion, NYers are wonderful people, by the way I love cheese....

I believe when Elway was drafted he didnt wanna play for the Colts ...and he was 1st pick overall......and he almost played for the Yankees..........he was in their minor league system
Eli was essentially traded for Phillip Rivers

YOu're correct, did not want to play for colts, so broncos and colts did their own thing, which the jints did with chargers, and it cost them a couple of #1 picks for eli, which materialized, Rivers hasn't quite been up to snuff. But then again, he doesn't have Coughlin, Mara, and the rest of the Giants organization behind him, to say the least of the best defensive front in the league....ahem.

lol it wasn't that he WANTED to play for the Giants, he just DIDNT want to play for the Chargers

and the difference is that Eli COULD dictate where he wanted to go and Rodgers COULDNT. Lets not act like he had a choice to take it like a man.

And after the disappointing job AJ smith and NOrv Turner have done since that 03 draft, it looks like Eli and Archie were right. Its a badly run organization.

I guess Elway is a little ***** too... truth is that nobody remembers that though

im pretty sure we just signed him as a FA early December when Andrews went down. We like to use a tackle at our TE spot when we go big.

He hasn't been in much but hes done pretty good when hes been there.

Where? I grew up by Red Hook, then moved to Flatbush. ERASMUS....woo hoo. Back then football was ok, but the Dodgers were IT! I rememeber when they beat the yanks in the world series '57 I think, and I was sitting on my stoop and limos drove up the block. Pee Wee Reese was in an open one and waving, I'll never forget it.

Actually, bklyn, the Dodgers beat the Yankees in '55. The Dodgers then moved to LA in '58.

Exactly................I was born in Bklyn 1n '57.....their last year there........Listening to my dad & my uncles all those years it broke their hearts.....and most of brooklyn's when they left and were forever hated for it..........O'Malley was offered a stadium where Citfield(METS) stands today. He refused because he wanted to own his own stadium and also said we cant call them the Bklyn Dodgers if we play in queens which was bs........LA gve him the land for $1.......moved a ton of Mexicans off it and the creep built Dodger stadium w/his own money

You are exactly correct. O'Malley had the foresight to know when everyone moved to L.I. , he wanted to move Ebbetts field from Bedford ave to 4th and Atlantic where the LIRR was. Wagner the mayor ok'd it, but that ***** Robert Moses said no. Move to queens. He weilded more power than the mayor. O'Malley then went back to Wagner and said he had an offer to move the team to L.A., but he DIDN'T WANT TO, they were the "brooklyn" dodger, again Moses said Fyou, so he left. I never knew that until HBO did a special on the brooklyn dodgers. Moses became a moron, look what he did to the BQE, specially that bottle-neck right before you hit Hamilton ave.

And, O'Malley told Moses and Wagner he didn't wany city $, he was gonna use his own money. I don't blame O'Malley at all, even though the city NEVER forgot when the dodgers left.
