thats his college profile

Not to **** in your cheerios LT, but

"In many ways Grant represents a stereotypical Notre Dame football player from the past 10 years or so — a talented player who never reached his potential. Grant reached his peak as a sophomore and never improved from that point. From the 2002 Boston College game on, it appeared Grant was slower and went down easier than he did previously."

The Giants have traded RB Ryan Grant, a Don Bosco grad, to the Packers for an undisclosed draft pick, according to someone familiar with the trade talks.

Grant had an excellent preseason (18 rushes for 90 yards and a touchdown), but the Giants didn't have room on the roster for him with Brandon Jacobs, Reuben Droughns, Derrick Ward and Ahmad Bradshaw all likely to be on the final roster that's scheduled to be announced at 6 p.m.

The person familiar with the trade talks, who requested anonymity because the official announcement hasn't been made yet, said the Packers tried to send one of their kickers, Mason Crosby or Dave Rayner, to the Giants in lieu of the draft pick. But the Giants said they were confident with Lawrence Tynes.

Grant will now get a chance to compete for carries in the Packers' backfield with the injured Vernand Morency and rookie Brandon Jackson. It's not a bad situation for Grant, who missed all of last season with a hand injury suffered in an accident at a night club. Grant worked hard to get back in playing shape and it showed this preseason. Green Bay obviously noticed and pulled the trigger on the trade with less than an hour before final rosters were to be announced. Grant had been told by the Giants he was going to make the team.

Today's trade is Jerry Reese's third since being named Giants general manager in January. He previously acquired Droughns from the Browns and Tynes from the Chiefs.

(UPDATE: Someone involved in the negotiations said it's a sixth-round pick. Not bad in exchange for a former undrafted free agent.)

A lot of people in Houston did not want to see Morency go either.

Do we have any details on the "Accident" or in other accounts "Incident" at the nightclub? In light of recent player news (PacMan), the next line in the article about the Packers "pulling the trigger" just jumps out at you.
