When you see a NFL player make a game changing mistake, do you hold a grudge against that player?

depends. For me its a case by case basis. Example Calvin Johnson against the Bears, not at all. Other example would be Favre in pretty much the majority of playoff games, then yes.

I don't hold a grudge for one incident, far too much happens on one play to drag someone through the fiery pits of hell just because they fumbled/dropped the ball. However, if it happens repeatedly, I do tend to cringe every time that player goes near the ball.

Usually just for a few days, then I'll forgive the player and move on. They are only human. Unless it recurs on such a consistent basis as to alter the course of the season. Anything on that large of a scale, I'd be a lot less inclined to forgive. Human or not.

I'd have to make it unanimous. I can forgive a mistake or two, but when it becomes bad judgment and not just a mistake I have to draw the line and hold the individual responsible.

For me it's more the impact a play has on the game and/or season. For example, throwing a pick in NFC division championship game, resulting in a heartbreaking loss. Those are hard to forgive.

For me it depends on the mistake and the situation. Repeated mistakes should not be tolerated, the whole fool me once-shame on you, fool me twice-shame on me thing. Yet there are some mistakes, that may only happen once, and the result is catastrophic. Like a missed blocking assignment that gets your QB hurt.

I don't hold grudges against (most) players. That's unhealthy.

I do hold grudges against teams, though.

Only if that player throws away an NFC Championship and then finds his way to our direct rival.

Personally speaking, if I held a grudge against every player whoever made a mistake on the field, that would be everyone lol. Throwing a pick, dropping a pass, a fumble, its called football... Players are only human! Swinging at a guy at a bad moment in the game and getting a stupid penalty - now that's different, that's discipline and there is absolutely no excuse for it.
