Nick Collins released...

... before the game last night by aliens who had a poor clone taking his place for much of this season ;)

It was great to see Nick play up to his promise in last night's game. He had solid coverage and hit like a sledge-hammer.

Welcome Back Nick!!!

Here is another unsung hero from last night's game...

... Brady Poppinga's monster tackle on what looked to be a sure first down killed a key
Viking drive.

And this guy...

... played like the BIG MAN Pickett is -- as did Williams.

This DE put on constant pressure...

... as did Jenkins and KGB

The game ball for last nights game goes to .... the defense!

Re: Nick Collins released...

You got me Bruce.

I couldn't understand what he would have done to merit being released.

Nick Collins released...

For some reason. I was expecting a thread like this, for Bubba Franks. Obviously, being legit.

Poppinga's tackle on Tav was absolutely sick. I want that man's jersey for Christmas.

It really was!!!

Not many guys could reach out and make that tackle. It really showed how powerful Popp is -- he has the size and strength to develop into a great (SAM) strong-side LB.

Bruce,
Don't do **** like that.
Great pics though!

wpr, yooperfan, Zero2Cool: Actually I kind of regret the title (in fact I am about to change if edit allows it) because it detracted from the larger point about the defense as a unit stepping up and playing great in a HUGE rivalry game with (however limited) playoff hopes for both teams on the line.

I was Poppinga neutral before that tackle. Now I'm a Poppinga fan.

Nope, sorry. He was a TT pick in TT's first draft. Fourth round I believe.
