[QUOTE="P@ck66, post: 123431, member: 212"] from Vic Carucci... NFL.com The Detroit Lions twice running Jon Kitna on a quarterback sneak in their 17-9 loss to the Green Bay Packers. The list of problems the Lions had in this game and have had through their six-game losing streak is long and includes more serious problems. However, two plays that defined their ineptitude against the Packers were Kitna's failures to convert first downs when he ran on third-and-5 from the Detroit 32-yard line on the Lions' opening drive and on third-and-6 from the Green Bay 8 with the Packers holding a 10-6 lead in the fourth quarter. The problem with making such a call against Green Bay was that Packers tackle Ryan Pickett spent the previous five seasons in St. Louis, when Lions offensive coordinator Mike Martz was the Rams' coach. Pickett remembered that, when the defense showed a "Three Technique," Martz allowed his quarterback to audible to the sneak. He anticipated the play, adjusted accordingly, and made a diving tackle.
