Hey Cheeseheads! No smack talk here, just wanted to chime in on the Favre situation. I'm a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan, but I've always admired the Packers and their tradition and especially #4. I was sad the day he decided to retire and maybe he should stay retired...but I seriously hope he comes back! You guys were so close last season! I have to admit, even though I'll be rooting for the Boys to go all the way this year, if Favre comes back, there will be a part of me hoping that the Pack does as well. Of course, if we meet up in the NFC Championship I'll have to side with my Boys...but if we lose at least I can enjoy seeing Favre in another Superbowl.

Come back #4!

Though I hate the Cowboys as an Organization, I appreciate the kind words. Come to think of it It's the Old Aikmen, Smith, Irvin Cowboys I Hated. I actutally really like Romo.

That pretty much sums it up for me as well. It's a cliche' by now, but Romo really does remind me of a young Brett.

Thanks for the kind words, Doomsday. Classy posters are always welcome here, no matter who they root for.

Can't stand Romo. Hate Jones. Can't stomach most of the Cowboys fans either. Never could. That being said..... There are some good fans from every team so I will cut you some slack and assume you are one of the good ones. Welcome to the forum.

Either Favre or Rodgers makes no difference to me as long as whoever it is helps get us the trophy at the end of the season.

Wow, got in from work and have been reading all the latest developments. I just can't imagine Favre in a different uniform if he comes back. I mean, wtf? That's got to be a sign of the apocalypse or something. :(

Anyways, thanks for the welcome guys. I'll stick around and behave. Maybe talk some trash on the appropriate forum when we get closer to the Cowboys-Packers game this year. Good luck! :D

Wow, looks like I picked one hell of a week to join the Packer forum. I'm still pulling for Favre, but this whole situation has just gotten down right ugly. I feel sorry for you Pack fans. Hopefully they'll get this resolved quickly and I sure hope it doesn't end up with Favre in a Vikes uniform.

Doom: You need to get Pacman or T.O. to pull some crap and take some attention away from all this Favre mess. We'd be forever grateful if you could make that happen;).

Do you guys want Favre? At this point I think I would trade him to the cowboys for a pair of socks.

Might not be so easy. They've been model citizens so far.

Seeing as how he never won in Texas Stadium, I'm not sure that would be a good idea. :p

Aw, c'mon, Doom: Just throw a big party at your house and invite Pacman, 20 strippers and the ESPN news crew. You'd really be helpin' us out. Heck, I bet Cheesy would even buy you a beer!

Knowing how ESPN likes to hate on the Boys, I could probably just as easily have Pacman over for a bible study and he'd still get bad press.

Thanks man. I love my Cowboys, but I'm also just a fan of the game. There are a lot of other teams I find things to like about. Green Bay is one of them. You guys have a great tradition, not only the team but the fans. I'd love to catch a home game at Lambeau some time, just to eat some brats and freeze my *** off outdoors in the winter in one of the NFL's best venues. That'd be great.

Welcome Doom! I think everyone's said pretty much everything there is to say. You seem like a cool cat. Better get ready... looks like A-Rod's gonna have a full 2 halves of football to play on Sept. 21st ;)

You know, Doom, I recently talked with a guy who had been in several NFL stadiums, including Green Bay and Dallas, and he said that the best-behaved, most knowledgeable fans were in Dallas. And he's not a Cowboy fan. I suppose that the tickets are expensive in Dallas, so you get very little, if any, of the rabble that makes up a certain percentage of the crowd at other NFL stadiums.

Anyway, I was surprised by what he said, but thought it might interest you.

I remember last year when he came in for the injured Favre. For awhile there, it looked like he was going to lead your guys back against the Cowboys.

That is interesting. It's always been my feeling that sometimes Texas Stadium is too quiet and the fans too reserved. Not that being well behaved means you can't cheer your butt off but sometimes I wish the home crowd would get more into it at times. Of course, you guys have good football weather early in the season, whereas it's still pushing 120 in the stadium come October most years. At any rate, all the rabble fans in the NFC East reside in Philly. :p
