I think that we're all in agreement that the Pack will get every opponent's top-shelf effort because the Pack are the Champs....but frankly, if that defense stinks...and I say it stinks, I'm thinking that I am stating the obvious...I don't think that I'm being negative or 'doom and gloom' -- because the "D" right now is stinkin' up the joint...reminding me in a way of the '82 Packers (I think..I'm going from memory here) who had a potent POTENT offensive machine for that time, yet finished 8-8 because the defense was a turnstile.I didn't think that LAST YEAR'S defense was good enough at this point of the season to even toy with the notion of being in the Super Bowl much less WINNING the Super Bowl ... and I was wrong. Conversely though, the defense at the mid-point of last season was not the same defense that showed up the last 7 games of last season.So... my stance is exactly the same as Don's  ...
