I think the best example is the ability to throw the deep out – even a very accurate QB risks an INT if he can’t put some zip on that pass. And if a defense knows the QB is deficient in arm strength, look at how that contracts the area they have to defend. It would be similar to playing D in or near the red zone all over the field.  As to draftee or player evaluations IMO we should keep in mind it involves fallible human beings evaluating the uncertain potential of other fallible human beings. That’s why even a great evaluator like Thompson struck out on players like Justin Harrell, Brian Brohm, and probably Pat Lee early in the draft. </blockquote>
