Great point of consideration too. Many folks have talked about how LaFleur will have his pick of job offers if we let him go. I think that's probably true! At the same time, maybe I'm biased... but who wouldn't want the opportunity to be our head coach right now? This is a team that most everyone would agree - when healthy - SHOULD be a serious super bowl contender. Let's say you make a call to Todd Monken in Baltimore. Maybe you try and take another dip from Detroit and look at John Morton, they still basically score at will. Or Klint Kubiak in Seattle - he had Darnold looking like a MVP candidate and has got JSN gunning for Calvin Johnson's rec yards record. Maybe try for another Kubiak brother and Shanahan-product in Klay - he's having a good run in San Francisco. Here's a wild card: How about Matt LaFleur's own little brother, Mike? He's from the "Shanahan-tree," was the passing and WR coach when they went to the SB in 2019, and has been very successful with the Rams since 2023. Now I'm not necessarily advocating for any one of these guys. Truth be told I haven't taken a terribly close look at anyone yet. But point is...how many of those guys would turn down the opportunity to be HC of the Green Bay Packers? Yes, Matt will have no shortage of suitors if we decide to move on, but I don't think we are going to be scraping the bottom of the barrel ourselves...
