Message: <blockquote data-quote="NC_Cheese_Fan_100" data-source="post: 1086361" data-attributes="member: 8768">I have my doubts about MLF, but I think MLF gets an extension after this season and Gute gets the pink slip.  Ed Policy picks the next GM and that GM will decide MLF's fate in the next 2-4 years.  After GB traded Kenny Clark to Dallas for Parsons (on the heels of TJ Slaton signing with Cincinnati), the DT spot became an immediate liability with only one proven DT on the team.  Gute should have immediately sought a veteran DT even if it meant a trade.  Yesterday we saw the consequences of Gute's failure to act.  I get that Gute's job is hard, the Packers have had 2 top 10 draft picks in the last 20 years.  But, he's missed on so many picks over the last few years that I think Policy lets someone else have a shot at the job.   It's probably easier right now to replace the GM than en entire coaching staff. So next year, MLF gets to start over with a new GM and the Packers see what he can do with different personnel decisions.</blockquote>
