MLF took questions and I thought it was interesting that his thoughts about Quay is that he’s capable of doing anything they ask of him. He did mention that Quay is still relatively young overall, plus we switched Defensive systems in between his 2nd/3rd season. In his first 9 games he had 1 PD 1.5 Sacks 4 TFL 2 QB hits In his last 2 games he had 1 PD 1.0 Sack 4 TFL 1 QB Hit So it’s obvious that Quay is starting to get comfortable in this system. While he’s not yet lived up to his Draft billing, he’s not a bad LB either imo. I kinda like his physicality. Our LBs have been a Big part of #14 Yards per play allowed #9 scoring allowed (tied with Chicago) #8 Opponent Yards per Rush attempt (Tied with SF49ers) #1 Takeaways. #14 Opponent Passer Rating Overall when you consider we switched DC and Schemes and we’re 12 games in? I think we’re doing just fine and recent indications are the needle is pointing up. If we finish anywhere around our current 20.0 points per game we should feel pretty good with our Defense.
