Message: <blockquote data-quote="Kimbo Blubbeus" data-source="post: 591582" data-attributes="member: 10517">There is something to it actually IMO.  I've been reminding fellow Cowboy fans that last year we played the best of the best in terms of offense (Detroit, Green Bay, Denver, San Diego, Chicago, New Orleans, Philadelphia twice) and we ended up having one of the worst defenses of all time.This season our defense is playing better but we have definitely had a weaker schedule (beating up on the AFC South, playing the NFC West who don't have any good quarterbacks, and then getting Philly with Sanchez)  in terms of elite passing teams.  We played New Orleans but their defense was so bad that we were able to hold the ball for about 40 minutes keeping our D off the field.  They played pretty well against Indy but again our ball control was at its best that game and we were able to get the Colts out of sync.That leaves the NYG and Odell Beckham show who were able to shred us both games, but the Giants being the Giants, lost both games due to stupid plays at the wrong times.Even Chicago had a near wild comeback in the fourth quarter when our defense disappeared.</blockquote>
