Fernando Bryant released by Lions - would he fit in?

So I see the Detroit has let go of Fernando Bryant. 30 years old, 9 years in the league. What do you think? Certainly would be an upgrade over Frank Walker I would think.

I'm not too sure what type of corner (zone or man-to-man) he is though.

He may work in it. His speed is going to be suspect though. I really think he's been beaten quite a bit in the past but you have to factor in he was out on a island playing for the Lions. He arguably was their 3rd or 4th best defensive player. I wouldn't mine seeing him in camp.

I really hope you meant this as sarcasm, because how can you rate players in a game when they haven't played one meaningful down in the Pros yet? Combines are good, but game film is much more important in the evaluation process.
