Favorite Packer Pick: Josh Jackson at #45: Jackson is a guy that I would have been OK with at #14 (not my first choice, but one I would have understood). So to get him at #45 is just fantastic. In terms of size, athleticism, and ball skills he compares well to Marcus Peters. He will need a lot of work in the nuances of man coverage, but he should be an effective zone corner from day one. Favorite Non-Packer Picks: Justin Reid @ #68 to the Texans: Reid is a 1st round caliber athlete with 1st round caliber production and the Texans had a big need at FS. How that happens at #68 is beyond me. Sam Hubbard @ #77 to the Bengals: 43DE's who can be effective in both the run and pass game are hard to find. Those with plus athleticism and solid production at the highest level of the college game tend to go early. Hubbard's background and testing say he will be a solid player at worst. I love the value in the 3rd round. Duke Ejiofor @ #177 to the Texans: Another Texans pick that I like a lot-- Ejiofor had strong tape but an injury prevented him from testing. I think he has a real shot at being a rotational pass rusher. At #177, that's nice. Least Favorite Packer Pick: Equanimeous St. Brown @ #207: I have no real issue with this pick, but it's my least favorite. Given what I've read about this player and family since he was drafted, I have real concerns that he just isn't going to work. Had it been me, I probably take Cedrick Wilson instead. Least Favorite Non-Packer Picks: Saquon Barkley @ #2 to the Giants: Barkley's great, but he's a running back, it's 2018, and the Giants have a bad 37 year old QB. They passed on a shot at their next franchise guy. And if they didn't want a QB, it's been reported that they could have traded back for huge offers involving multiple first round picks.
