Isn't that why you guys blame OBAMA for everything...and Brett Favre?

How can we blame Obama, he doesnt control what happens when football is played!
I'm going to stray away from topic here, but screw with college? Do you LIKE this BCS BS? I'd much rather have a playoff system. Cincinatti is undefeated and isn't going to the championship because some computers think they're not as good as others undefeated teams? BS! Let them battle it out on the field, for crying out loud, not on some computer. No but the gov is going to try and screw with college though. Give it time:dontknow:

It's all about the money and their sponsorships, really. When money is involved in America, ethics and fairness take a back seat. Bowl games provide several avenues for schools to make a lot of money. A playoff system sounds cool, but this country's top minds can't even pull of Cash-4-Clunkers without embarrassing themselves - let alone devise a scheme for a college football playoff system. I like college football the way it is. If some teams wins it all, who really cares, ya know??? College sports don't really mean much, at the risk of hurting some feelings.
How about this. Take the top 8 teams in the BCS rankings and have a playoff. Man that was tough to come with. I might need to rest my brain!:happy0005:When money is involved in America, ethics and fairness take a back seat. Bowl games provide several avenues for schools to make a lot of money. angryguy77;25855 You guys that bash him and pull this crap out of your *** and revise history are probably the same types that tell the girl that shot you down that she is was too ugly for you anyway.[/QUOTE said:Actually, I'm the type that marries her. Uh oh!

You're a genius! I don't think anybody's ever thought of that?!?!?
The only way universities would agree to a playoff is if they are guaranteed as much money as they make from consistently appearing in Bowl Games.
Also, what determines the top 8? The BCS computer that everybody's currently chomping at the bit to abolish??? Where would the games be played - on a neutral field in warm weather or hosted by teams with the best record?
It's too messy and then to get the government involved, or nearly as bad, think tanks, is a mistake. We're living in a country that increasingly supports underachievers and losers. This isn't the time to begin to change the rules yet again. Let's let this dark time in our history pass and wait for some more logical and practical heads to prevail before we attempt to change another area of our lives that doesn't need changing. I think the phrase "Bigger fish to fry" couldn't be more descriptive of our current situations.
I watch college and enjoy it, but the end result always sucks. Something has to be done.
You sound like the idiots in Congress over health care and cap in tax. Just "do" something, regardless of WHAT it is or how badly it bankrupts the nation - just do it. Get Whitey at all costs!!! Sense, ethics and morals be damned!!!
College isn't professional sports, so I would argue that the way it is, is completely reasonable and shouldn't be changed. I think if you did some research, the people that are crying most loudly to have it "changed" are the very people would benefit the most financially in the long run - much like health care and cap in tax. It's sad, but it is joke-like.
Believe it or not, sometimes doing nothing IS better than ruining something.

I'm not going to argue politics on this forum, but having health care privatized thus making it a for profit system is one of the dumbest things ever, and if that's a novelty to you, well then that is too bad.
There will not be a playoff system because the people that run these institutions don't want them. It might be romantic to believe the way you do, but it isn't realistic.
As far as health care, it is currently privatized and it is the main reason why it is the BEST in the world. Wake up, people.
Watch Favre tomorrow dissect the Bungles.

We lost both games to last years superbowl teams so your logic is mind boggleing. Anyway I can remember the packers loseing to the one win tampa bay bucs a few weeks ago, Did you guys meltdown?I just read that article and was about to post it. All I can say is WOW. So if they lose to the Bengals no one on here believes a viking melt down is possible? That locker room will go nuts with a 2 game losing streak and comments from a 40 year old QB with his own selfish agenda.
Crazy old man syndrome comes to mind and he is in command of the ship. Losing and comments like that will destroy a team.

Yes it is....
Yes it is....
Like the bengals that beat you already? Not to mention stomping a mudhole in the packers twice this year.Hopefully we can give you another beatdown at the dome in the playoffs which would make my season complete. It is quite funny how the common foe rule is only in use on this forum when it favors the packers. To be the man you have to beat the man if you ask me and since the Vikings are the man so far I say don't talk about it and prove it.The Vikings lose to good teams and beat the crappy teams, we get it.
And don't try using the Packers as an example because this isn't the same Packers team Minny faced earlier in the season.
Just as packers that played the bengals is the same one that played the vikingsjust as the Minny team that played the cards is the same one that played the Packers
Huh? B,b,b,but I d,d,d,don't believe in ghosts!Like the bengals that beat you already?
