I think GB had no false starts and no holding penalty on the O-line.

I saw a couple of the shots Favre took......maybe they should have held. Based on the little I saw, I think they were too slow to their assignments to be able to hold. All 5 sacks were by linebackers which tells you that they were not playing their gaps, which is clearly the "zone-blocking" scheme of things. It takes a while to learn so hopefully in a few weeks they're better at it. These guys were chosen because they fit the scheme, right? Let's just hope we don't lose a QB or a RB while they learn.

From what I understand, they are on the team because they are the right size for our all-new zone-blocking system.

BTW: One of the garbagemen that picked up my trash today looked to be the perfect size for our o-line. Maybe TT will want to bring him in for a tryout. :roll:

first off i understand Rivera was on his last leg. wahle would have been ideal. but when you draft all of these rookies their is like a 10% chance they are going to have a good career. but if you draftt them and put them right into the starting line their is no way they will be going good. i mean dont get me wrong i think he is doing somethings right in drafting Rodgers, Collins, and Murphy. All three have potential. I thought Murphy had potential if it wasnt for is career ending injury. I think both Rodgers and Collins will someday make it to the Pro Bowl. This year i did see a few good things by bringing in Pickett, Manual, and Woodson. adn drafting Hawk, Jennings and Hodge. but when we traded JWalk to Denver i though for sure they were goin to use that pick for C. Jackson or actually a good lineman. Instead we trade it and end up with colledge. come on! the we have spitz. same damn thing as colledge he will not be any good mark my words! if TT is doing things right it sure doesnt seem to be working. Another thing Sherman must have been doing something right to make the team win. Because like i said before the "TT downfall era" we actually won games!!

We won games, because of what Ron Wolf built over several seasons. It wasn't done over night. Yes, i would have loved if they had got some great o-lineman. But there were not alot out there. And it's not just the Packers who have troubles with that. Look around the league, and you will see it on every team. To blame TT right now cause the o-line looks bad isn't totally fair in my view. In the draft, there are NO "sure things". Even Ron Wolf missed on some big ones. (Taking T. Buckley over Vincent for one)
Now......i'm NOT questioning anyone's "fandom" because you choose to look at the glass as half empty. I'm sure your just as much as a fan as i am. I of course am hoping these kids pull together and become a great o-line. They might, and they might not. Time will tell.
If the time comes where it is proven to me that TT is a "*******", then i will admit to it. I just haven't seen it yet.
Like i have said......even the BEST GM's don't hit on 100% of their picks. ALL of them hit some bad ones. There are only so many Brett Favres, Emmitt Smiths, Barry Sanders, Jerry Rices and so on. For ever ONE of them, there are 100 picks that don't make it in the NFL.
