All things aside, our future looks great. And there's no other team I'd rather face in the Super Bowl than San Diego. I like that team and Rivers. I love that they took a hard line stance with Vincent Jackson. Told him to shut up and they didn't cave into his renegotiation demands and trade me demands. There are so many good teams these days it's just hard to win Super Bowls. Luck plays a big factor. Look at the Patriots 3 Super Bowls early in the last decade. The Steelers first one with Rapelisberger over Seattle was lucky because the refs screwed the Seahawks and Big Ben was terrible. Manning only has one ring and it took him until about his 8th or 9th year to get it. The Chargers have been good for awhile, and haven't gotten to a Super Bowl yet. We've had nothing but bad luck so far this season with injuries and all 3 of our close losses being somewhat unlucky with a FG post hit, 2 Ints and a TD called back in the loss to the Bears, plus Jones fumble at the sideline that magically stopped right before it hit the white chalk, and then the weird penalty call on the punt from Miami in that close loss. Maybe our bad luck is done and we'll get some good luck in January.
