Couldn't post on here last night, I was far too angry for that, needed time to reflect.

Strangely, I don't put the majority of the blame onto the shoulders of the management. Here's why, we played four games - Russia, Wales, Slovakia and Iceland. Now, we couldn't really have handpicked four easier games en route to the quarter final, yet we only won one of those games, and that was in the 92nd minute.

Forget tactics, strategies, substitutious, formations. Scrap all of that. Eleven of our men should have the ability to beat all of those four teams. Now, don't mistake that for arrogance, its my opinion that we should have came through the group with at least 7pts, and beaten Iceland.

Lack of character, leadership, teamwork, communication, and in the end, quality, cost us in these Euros.

Woy's gone, but if we get into the mentality of just replacing the head man will sort it out, i'll be making exactly the same post in 2yrs time at the World Cup in Russia. Complete reshuffle, one lead man, but then 2-3 coaches around him. Let's do it right this time.

Hmmm, don't think he's leaving the US in the near future. His wife is American and living in CA isn't the worst thing to do. On the other hand - being England manager is one of the most challenging and exciting jobs in the business. However, I think the manager of the National Team should be English. We never had a foreign manager for our German National team.

Doesn't Jogi have a parent that is Austrian?

Hard to see Klinnsy leaving the USA. He lives on the beach in Southern CL with temperate climate. He has enough money to not work the rest of his life. He would rather go to England and wade thru the poop and rain? I'd be shocked to see this one happen.

Its all been said, Klinsmann would be crazy to even glance at it. Whoever takes the job knows by the time he leaves his reputation will be in shreads. The only good thing about it is the wage, Woy was on £3.5m a year. By comparison Iceland's coach is a part time Dentist. :speechless:

O.K., with Portugal we now have the first team in the semi finals.
A team that finished on third place in their group, did not win a single game within 90 minutes and only made it to the knockout stages thanks to the new Euro scheme.
So much for the quality of this tournament, a joke.
Doesn't matter what team plays Portugal in the semi final - it's like a bye. Can't be easier.

Portugal have been involved in some of the most boring games i have seen, Croatia should be there instead of them.

I'm not sure how controversial this statement will be on here, but they need to get rid of the shootout. How many of these matches have gone to penalty kicks?

But what's the alternative ? Bringing back the "Golden Goal/Sudden Death" ? Didn't work imho.....:cautious:

I prefer the golden goal ill be honest, its not for everyone but at least its a goal in ''Gametime'' and let them play on until they score it. Stick drips into their arms till they do, like in Ice Hockey.:roflmao:

I didn't get to see the match. Sounds like he had a good game. I'll gladly step up to the table if he can produce like that for Bayern. But can I get it grilled? Or should I save it in case he flops? ;)
