The empty backfield may be all right for the occasional third and short or two point conversion but to use it as part of the offensive scheme is (was) a big mistake. When we went to it in the 2nd half; it took away all our momentum and we could not really get it back. We were doing just fine with a back in there. Without someone in the backfield the defense just lays back their ears and comes after Rodgers. No 2nd thought about a run. And I think Rodgers has a more difficult time scrambling too.
