In the post-game interview with Donald Driver, he made the comment that he had told the other receivers put in an extra effort to go out and catch whatever Brett threw up. Almost the same comment that he made after the Raider game in 2003.

Why is that seem to be the attitude for the big games but not for every game? The past couple of years, it has been the little games (St Louis, Buffalo) that have been the ones that have hurt us. The big games were expected that we be out of our league but half-stepping in the ones that we should have won has cost us in the past.

Shouldn't they be giving an all-out effort in each and every game?

Some things should not be taken as literal. Kinda like saying, "Leave it all on the field."

It is nothing more than attempting to get the mind ramped up for the game ahead. Nothing more. Or do you believe players...with sound character, as is the case with most Packers....would actually risk their standing and pay by not giving it all?

I like what Jack Lambert said about getting 'up' for a game.

If you need to be pumped up to play football in the NFL, find a different job.
