Display Includes Game-Worn Equipment And Footballs That Tied And Broke Records
Donald Driver, the Packers' new all-time receptions leader, is the subject of a new exhibit in the Packers Hall of Fame that features equipment and the football involved in the record-breaking game, Oct. 18 vs. the Detroit Lions.
Driver made seven catches for 107 yards against the Lions and became the Packers' all-time receptions leader with 602, moving ahead of Sterling Sharpe (595) in the process. Driver, a seventh-round selection in the 1999 NFL Draft, also extended his team record for consecutive games with at least one reception (116).
In the center of the Hall of Fame's "Today's Packers" room, an exhibit displays several pieces of equipment that Driver wore in the victory, including his game jersey, pants, socks, gloves, wrist tape, ankle tape and sleeveless performance shirts.
