    I learned from the master....

Dad was original old school, introduced to it in Korea in '51, and perfected as a drill sergeant when he got back to the states.

He is the only guy I know who could cuss in complete sentences, the sentences were formulated correctly, proper nouns and verbs using nothing but dirty words and it made complete sense.

I can't hold a candle to him, I get a MF out and get embarrassed by it...

Anyway, here is a NFL film about it on the field....

Love it. Love to curse. It's all about intention. I'm a really PI, casual guy.
One can compliment by cursing and attack with polite words.

It's all about intention to me.
    And dick jokes.

    Va fa napoli ;)

my father was a construction worker so I grew up with it. Went to reform school, which kind of curbed it, then started doing construction in my late teens which brought it back.

    Pastors can't cuss?

Outside of taking the lord's name in vain, is there really something in the bible that says "don't swear"?

One of the more interesting evenings I had the past few years was drinking, card playing, pool, and "colorful discussions" with a half dozen pastors. I drove and chaperoned a weekend at church camp. On one of the nights the kids rough it in the woods with the counselors. Their pastors sneak away to one of the local eateries in the next town. My pastor invited me along. Then bar hop the way back to camp. One is the DD. Many pitchers of Leinies, shots, pizzas. Not much different than when I was single except we didn't pay much more than passing interest quietly when females wandered by. Weren't too many out anyways.

Yes basically its says "don't let a rotten saying come out of your mouth"

You've curbed your cussing long before lent! :D

My Dad cussed a blue streak when hollering for one of us kids,.. He used words that I would NEVER say in front of my kids! I truly thought S.O.B. was a term of endearment till I grew up and figured things out!

Yet, as hard as I try ... i'll still let one slip now and then.

There are words that I always thought of as cursing. Now you can hear them on a regular basis on prime time tv. Not sure I like that.

One of the best "dirty joke" tellers I ever met was a 55 year old priest...he knew all the nasty words, and some words that he had to explain to me...
