Just out of curiosity... What is the consensus here? Was it a catch or not?

To me it was absolutely a catch by my standards. It's not hard for me to tell he grabbed the ball and possessed it. I understand the ruling somewhat based on what the "rule" and maintaining total control to the ground. But for my money. Just the eye test. It was a catch.
