    Hello guys,

First off let me tell yuo I am a cardinals fan and will be coming up on the 29th. Before you jeer at me please take a few things into consideration.

    1) I am only going to this game because I have always wanted to see Lambeau Field. I LOVE stadiums with history and there are not too many!

    2) I was told that the cheeseheads have some serious class when it comes to other fans. I know it must stink to see opposing fans when your stadium is sold out until next century but as a cardinals fan we have had so many years of misery we are really harmless. Even in Philly, where I live the eagles fans, who are notorious jerks leave me alone :)

    3) I am looking for some info that will help me follow any rules such as:

Which side is the visitors team side? The even numbered section side or odd?

Does anyone have any info as to what hotel the visiting team stays at and what time they arrive at the stadium and where they come in?

Same for the Pack. There are quite a few players I would love to get autographs from and display in my sports bar in the basement ;)

Any help would really be appreciated. I am going to try to have a nice pro cardinals tailgate (as best I can traveling 14 hours) if you see us stop by say Hi and grab a dog and a beer!

Hey swd, welcome to the site. There are some local GB peeps here that will be able to help you out with some of your details.

Have a blast at the game!

    Thx Ryan

OK I found out the visitors side is the odd numbered sections on the east side. So i am getting tickets there in the lower level.

Still looking for info on visiting team hotel.

what time teams arrive at the stadium and where they come in (chance for autograph)?

Ideas for cheap hotels somewhat near the stadium. I cant wait to see Green Bay and the field. I am getting goosebumps already!

I believe they will be staying in the Due Drop Inn or the Cumm On Inn, located in OshKosh.....no I'm just kidding I live about 1000 miles from Lambeau but I can't believe one of the locals won't help you out. I think Zero lives pretty close and he has an extra air mattress he'll let you use.

    C'mon guys...help swd out!!

REally where are all the locals? I've been there a couple times and will be there in December but I stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, right next to Brett Favre's Steakhouse and about a block from Lambeau. But I made these reservations when the schedule first came out. I'm sure they are full. I usually just hit the bars around Lambeau, Brett's, Stadium View, etc. The last time I was there they were still in the reconstruction phase of Lambeau but now it is a destination place of it's own. Bars, restaurants, hall of fame, pro shop etc.

Sorry I'm not more help but maybe if you ask in the Packer Fan Forum section you will get more help. That section gets more traffic.

not from Green Bay but am a season ticket holder, We usually stay at the regency suites downtown greenbay but only 10min drive to the stadium.
I do belive they are sold out but go to www.packerfantours.com they still showing rooms at the tundra lodge (2 night minimum) 265.00 1st night-130.00 2nd night pretty close to the stadium and very nice place but expensive. Howard Johnson Inn no 2 night minimum, 185.00 1st night 130.00 2nd night not sure how close they are, but the prices are what they charge on gamedays in Green Bay.

If your looking for a bargin motel about 6 to 10 min drive from stadium, we used to stay at a place called the sportsmans bar and motel, bar and resturant are nice but rooms are not that great they cost around 75.00 per night. Another place my father in law stays was called Northstar Motel not a fancy place but said the rooms were clean and charged around 65.00-70.00 per night.

But if you can afford it I recommend the tundra lodge (all non smoking rooms) very nice place they have a bar and pool, and walking distance to all the activities.

not sure were the visting team stays for sure.

Visiting team most often stays in Appleton, WI, about 30 miles to the south of Green Bay (I'm sure this is some sort of agreement the Packers have struck with visiting teams so as not to take up an entire hotel on a game weekend). Oftentimes it's the Radisson (at least that's where the Bears stay).

No such thing as a cheap hotel near the stadium. Best thing to do to find a hotel is to go to http://www.packercountry.com/ and they'll be able to help you out with which hotels have space left (though I wouldn't count on many).

Visiting team's bus will come through the South East corner of the parking lot, but it goes directly into a caged in area (so I wouldn't count on too many autographs). Packers players and coaches park in the Northeast corner of the parking lot, but it's also caged in, and I wouldn't count on getting autographs there either. If you want Packers autographs, just send a request to the Packers and often the players will be happy to oblige (there's a way to do this described on the Packers' website).

We stayed at the Tundra for Packers/Steelers last year. Had a great time (although we're smokers and had to keep stepping outside!).

The bar was very busy if you were just looking for food (the other restaraunt never seemed to be open) and in our opinion the rooms were quite small for the price you are paying. Indoor water park was cool though. Staff was very friendly.

I stayed way south in Sheboygan at the Blue Harbor. The indoor water park was a blast for me and my son.

Paper Valley, in Appleton is where the majority of visiting teams stay. They also for some reason do not seem to take the major road(HWY 41) up to GB, rather they take some back roads and come in through DePere from the east.

I have no idea on what the Packers do the night before the game.

I too will be at that game with the family(trading in my 2 club seats for 4 regular seats).

Save me a beer at your tailgate.

The packers used (and maybe still do) stay at the hotel with the casino out by the airport. however I have also heard that they also stay out of town.

If you want to have agood time the night before the game, make sure you stop at Fuzzy Thurston's Shennangians on Mason. Fuzzy (old guard with PAck in 60's) is always there and usually other past players show up. I have met Paul horning, Bart Starr, Jerry Kramer, Ron Kramer, Max Mcgee etc. there.
