Wow. The miners lose both Willis and Borland to early retirement. Not to mention the other ones this offseason as well. What the heck is going on.

he isnt a packer so its in the wrong forum, im sure they will move it. No biggie but they like to keep the packer stuff and non packer stuff separate.

Good for him. The 9ers went from having a great linebacker situation last year to a scary situation entering the draft

This actually could impact the Packers. ILB just went from a position of strength to a position of need for the 49ers, and they draft ahead of us.

Chris Borland is a class act. He was the 2014 UW Student-Athlete of the Year and devoted much of his personal time visiting local hospitals and sharing his enthusiasm with sick children. He will land on his feet, no doubt. Most will look at the money he is leaving behind, but for Chris, playing football was never about money but about the team and competition. I applaud him for a very brave decision and wish him continued success in the next phase of his life.

We've seen a few players walk away at a relatively young age in recent days. This could be the beginning of a trend in the NFL.

This will also impact our plan (if we have one) of signing any of the remaining FA ILB's, which I believe we need to do.
