I suppose the death threat has to fall under legal terms before law enforcement takes any action. Yes, we have emotional responses, but that is not enough to convict unless it is against the law. If we were all convicted just based on emotional responses alone then half of all of us would be in jail while the other half would be executed. Are those things tweeted against the law?
