I don't know how this game will end, but the Brewers are down 4-6, going into the 6th and are once again doing what just bugs the snot out of me and something they have done a lot of lately.

Brewer hitters are going after the first pitch and not being patient. Great when you get hits, but the reality of it, you make a lot of outs, but more importantly, you lengthen the outing of the opposing teams starting pitcher.

The Diamondback starting pitcher is still pitching and has only thrown 75 pitches. Meanwhile, the Brewers starter, Quintana, got chased after 3.2 innings. He had already thrown well over 90 pitches, given up 6 runs, 4 walks and hit 2 batters.

Diamondback hitters are being patient and the strike zone is being called tight, so a smart move on their part. Meanwhile, Brewer batters aren't drawing walks (only 1 so far) and making things much easier for the Diamondbacks weak bullpen by keeping their starter out there.

I'm a Giants fan this morning

I'm a Willy Adames fan! He single handedly killed the Cubs with his bat, glove and arm.

Good to see that the Cubs are also choking.

Brewers really need to get back to winning though. It would be nice to have the best record in the NL and if possible all of MLB. It is the difference between more home games than road games in all their playoff series.

Freddy Peralta has been on an entirely different level throughout the month of August. All together the right hander has tossed 28.0 innings over five August starts, he has allowed just one earned run (0.32 ERA), has struck out 34 batters, has a 0.82 WHIP, and has not allowed a run to score over his last 24 innings.

Saw that and it is just insane how good that is

Chourio activated!!!!

To make room for him Brandon Lockridge was optioned to Triple A. I really like what Lockridge did in his short time in Milwaukee. Won't be surprised to see him called back up in Sept.

I am thinking that the team didn't rush him back, especially given they won those 14 straight games without him. A good call really. If he returns to form quickly, he is going to be a big bat in the middle of that lineup. Add the fact that Hoskins is about ready to return and look out.

Jackson missed HR in 1st and now he got one in the 9th

Then Yeli followed with a HR

Thursday I was worried about this series , now looks like they take 2 out of 3 .

That was a sweet comeback performance by Jackson. The first swing of the bat, robbed of a homer, but nice leaping catch by Straw. Jackson's 9th inning HR was a no doubter and ended up being the winning run. Great to have him back!

I read an article last week that predicted this, glad it came to fruition. Urias will be a solid bat for pinch hitting, as well as a much needed rotational infield guy!

Wow! The Brewers are 15-3 this season against Division Leading teams. That is wild.

Let's hope they sweep this 3 game series against NL East Division Leader Philadelphia! I'd even be fine with winning 2 of 3. The Brewers FINALLY get tomorrow off before resuming the series with Philly on Wed.

Once the are done with the Phillies, the Brewers have a much "easier" schedule as far as teams and rest days between Thursday and the end of the Regular season.

Just 24 games left, including the next 3 at home against the Phillies!

Remaining games:

- @ Pirates (3 games)
- @ Rangers (3)
- Cardinals (3)
- Angels (3)
- @ Cardinals (3)
- @ Padres (3)
- Reds (3)

Let’s get in a mini Win streak like before and make 100 Wins. Very doable

Ok... the Crew also took the season series against the Phillies which would help in a tie breakers situation -- still, they have definitely come back to earth against tougher teams which is to be expected, EXCEPT that I'm concerned that they may have peaked too early??? I don't want to be negative just to create a controversy but it sure seems that the resistance is getting stronger and they're not responding too well.

While I wasn't excited losing 2 of 3 with the Phillies and 3 of 5 with the Cubs, I think they will be OK. The 14 game winning streak took a lot out of the team, both mentally and physically. Couple that with what, 20 games over 19 straight days, without a break, and that is a lot.

The Brewers are getting healthy again and once they have most of their pitching staff back, I think all is good. Their final 3 weeks are mostly again mid to lower level teams. While they won't win them all, I think they start winning more consistently again and will be ready for a deep playoff run.

They hold the tie breakers with all the divisions leaders, even with Philly.

I hope we see Rhys Hoskins back soon, I'm not much of a Bauers fan. I also think the Brewers sacrifice a lot when Danny Jansen is catching behind home plate, but understand the need to give Contreras games off. I think once the playoffs begin, Contreras will be back there for every game.
