I think he's smoothing over things too. Which i see as good. It means he DOES care about the team.

its also something that a good leader does

meh, good leaders dont get themselves in this position to begin with.

Wrong, no one is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes. A good leader owns up to his/her mistakes and learns from them.

Some people still think perfection is attainable. Sure, aim for it, but don't think for a second anyone has achieved it.

I think the rumour cheesey posted is legit, Brett wants to win now real badly and if he thinks he can play one more year, judging by his interview he won't hesitate to ask to be traded to a team closer than the Packers are to winning.

I don't know how you guys tell the difference between the good honest Brett and the evil lying Brett! I'm gonna go back and re-read the quotes of him saying he wants to retire a Packer and try to find that little devil's tell.

Appeared as statement of fact, not opinion. No where in the post does it state that was your opinion.

If you believe good leaders do not get themselves in that position, I could see your point. I simply have the opinion that everyone makes mistakes (even good leaders). This wasn't a mistake that killed anyone, or even physically hurt anyone and could in fact bring the team closer together. How so? Well, it seems like everyone in the media is 'picking on' Brett. You know his team respects him and will fight for him.

Could be a stretch of a thought, but its a thought regardless.

You are right Zero.......no one, no matter HOW great a leader, is perfect. We ALL are human and make mistakes. How we handle those mistakes shows what kind of a person we REALLY are, and what we are made of. Some can have their mistakes pointed out to them, and STILL won't admit them or do whats necessary to "fix" them.
Brett admitted to being frustrated, but has shown to me that he STILL has the leadership abilities we need on the team.
