Breakdown of McCarthy's 3rd Quarter Playcalling

I edited the title millertime.

I know Jennings was out in the third, but I wonder how many two/three WR sets we used.

I saw Martin as a WR an awful lot in the 3rd Q, and I have to think Jones was low on confidence after his two fumbles (not to mention McCarthy and Brett both losing confidence in him also) so that may have effected how much of a real option he was.

Not to mention penalties. Man penalties put us on 1st and long and 2nd and long. That really hurt us.

thanks millertime...that's actually very telling.

I'm not at all against running the ball...as long as you don't ignore your wrs. They had a great mix in the first half, and in spite of the issues w/ jones and jennings you still can't completely ignore driver and ruvell

Easy to stack 8 in the box if you only incorporate your TEs and a 7th round rb rookie for 2 quarters

I like McCarthy, but the second half offense seriously sucked some big ones.

Yeah looking through it, it looks pretty bad.

Although despite that big brain fart by McCarthy, his playcalling while terrible kept us in the game (that is to say despite his playcalling we still had a shot to win).

I think he tried too hard to prove ESPN wrong tonight, or at least so it seemed. Don't waste your time PROVING that we can/are willing to run the ball at the expense of a victory.
